I agree im confused and more reserved than most people I feel regarding Pogacar and this Tour atleast thats how it feels. Im more conservative I almost feel like its easy to forget he just did the Giro and that the double in modern time has never been done I dont know im just more reserved when it comes to his chances. if thats because of the the memory from Contador or Chris trying it I dont know I just fail to see this will be easy by any means thats all but since its him I get it but yeah lets see.

Pog is looking super fresh and positive. No mentions of any family tragedies. So the next time somebody here posts fake news like ''Pogacar's grandpa died'' without verifying it people should just ignore it.

It seems that in some interview he did say that his grandfather died and he attended his funeral. And that this was before the covid infection. I haven't heard the interview.

Had a talk with Matxin and Mathieu today. Pogacar will even win stage 1 both said, Mathieu even refered to him as the goat and that there wasnt much more to say, never heard he of all people use those words before, heard plenty of others but never him.

Anyway Pogacar will win stage 1 even. He has apparently become even stronger than he was which is ridiculous to think about.

Problem for Pogacar the way I see it for tomorrow stage is if hes to strong and find himself alone vs others who can cooperate on the flats. Finally the tour begins tomorrow cant wait.

I don't see him winning stage 1 unless he wins in a sprint of 40 riders. On the other hand, he is the massive favourite to win stage 2.

Embarrassing. Afaik, that count is wrong. He has led the classification after 75 stages and been leading it during 71 stages. From start to finish in 2021-2023, and all except 9 stages in 2020. How on Earth do they get to 72?!
