I agree. This is becoming a very lifeless approach to the sport. Clubber it to death with numbers and video analysis. Incidentally the European Championship football has a similar trend with all the retroactive strikethrough’s of goals due to VAR offside. This sounds so incredibly boring (not your post, I mean the actual van thing).

vinge and pog did best 5 minute efforts of their career in terms of watts.around 7,90 for 5 minutes.thats above ''ate a steak'' trendline, lmao.jonas is really strong.
My concern is more if he has recovered fully from the Giro in that short time. Already forgot about that. Might be on to something hence also why he is lighter than ever(?) that makes it plausible.I think he is better than ever on long climbs. He was at his best in the Giro when we had hard and long mountains. He wasn't able to drop Narvaez in stage 1 but he completely destroyed the field after that.
We don't know. He prepared to be in top shape in the last week and I think he will be conservative (to his own standards) until Plateau de Beille. However, the first TT will play a huge role in this race, hope to see him in yellow after that stage. He needs to be in front of Vingegaard. My concern is more if he has recovered fully from the Giro in that short time. Already forgot about that. He probably is a bit better, but he wasn't pushed that hard in the Giro and the really hard stages were not that many. And competing against Vinge on long climbs 3rd week in the tour when Vinge has a team that can make the hole stages hard is a different thing methinks.I think he is better than ever on long climbs. He was at his best in the Giro when we had hard and long mountains. He wasn't able to drop Narvaez in stage 1 but he completely destroyed the field after that.
Probably, don't want to risk getting an aero bullet in his back.Pogi keeps yellow to get the final spot in the ITT? Or takes is back tomorrow for same purpose?

I don't believe it. They will put a hard tempo during all stage. The team gets to rest until the lead up to the Galibier. At minimum they don’t have to chase down breaks and such. As if EF will either

Whilst Pogacar was unable to gap his main rival and saw the duo of Remco Evenepoel and Richard Carapaz regain contact by the finish line, UAE Team Emirates' team boss Joxean Matxin is not concerned, insisting the Pogacar's move was far from full gas from the Slovenian. "The intention was to test all the rivals to understand the level of the different riders," explains Matxin in conversation with Cyclism'Actu.
Far from? Mind games or the truth?

He was testing. He didn't attack in the steepest part. He was overconfident as always, now he is back to reality and knows he has to dig deep to beat Jonas.Lol, sure, just testing…
Pogi wasn't tired at all.most fooked up thing about stage 2 was, when jonas looked less tired than pog.is this for real.lol
he seemed to be breathing with his nose during the attack seated so plausible it was far from a full on attack. From cyclinguptodate:
