visma once again played uae like fools.its basically hardcore scientific approach from visma vs italian romantics from uae.guess wholl win.how can be jonas in better shape than pog after that horrific injury is the real question.jonas same height as pog,yet at least 5 kilos less.untill pog looks like that,he has very little chance.basically until pog starts to live in the alb,he will lose tours.tactics isnot crucial,if pog was in terminator shape,no tactics in the world will save you.

Come on, Pog has probably improved a bit on long climbs, but long climbs are definately Vinge's terrain.
On Galibier he went deep to follow a superstrong attack by Pog in the last km and blew himself up a bit.
Yesterday, he settled into his own pace and showed what a remarkable climber he is, taking 30 s on Pog in just 4k.

And in four tours I haven't seen Vinge have a weak moment in the 3rd week. His abilitiy to recover is extraordinary.
Only question this year is if his preparation is good enough to sustain a three week tour on a superhigh level.
It wasn’t that tough of a climb. If it was pogi would have waited his attack there. Pogi bonked more than a miracle climb by Vingo

If you ride Remco and Rogla off your wheel and gain 45s on them in just 4k, and over minute on Crod, et al. well, I would say that is quite impressive climbinb by Vinge. Did Pog bonk? He couldn't have bonked completely because he rode the climb better than everyone except Vinge.

Strike me as bit funny that everyone talks about Pog bonking but no one else, I saw a lot of riders suffering really bad in the end, Rogla looked more cooked than Pog.

But if you want to believe that what Vinge did wasn't that special and that Pog really was just as strong, that it was just fuelling, fine do so. We just disagree then I guess. :)

Pogacar was increasing the gap on Evenepoel and Roglic on Col Perthus.

Cooked and bonked are two different things. We have not seen pogi cooked this year at all. Maybe next week

Bruyneel says he bonked and it has nothing to do with form or fatigue

Bruyneel has a contact at UAE who told him Pog would have gone 25 seconds faster in the ITT last week if he'd been racing in his own team skinsuit. That was a completely outlandish overestimate.

So... I don't think Bruyneel is a guru on this stuff. In fact I'd wager he's simply being used to spread the message UAE wants to spread because he's on a popular podcast.

The experienced professional bruyneel looked at pog and said he bonked

They could easily play the numbers game. Unfortunately Ayuso isn't in shape, but if he was too, they could definitely use that to their advantage. Vingegaard/Remco/Roglic can't react to everything, it would break them.
Landa, Matteo and Ineos riders can work and not lose more than a minute to Yates or Almeida. Vingegaard will eventually have to attack in the long mountains and he can close 1 minute in less than 2 km

But those are pure climbers. Vingegaard is a w/kg freak just like Contador and Pogacar (probably even better). However he is 58 kg.
Yates is really spectacular in my mind, sure not Vinge level, but 3rd in tour last year and superstrong in TDS this year.
But as someone said above, people are built a bit differently. You can see that Vinge has a superthin upperbody but quite muscular legs.

But he can't TT
