The GOAT of stage racing. No apologies needed if Rogla takes both.
Dont take him serious bro, he just trolling we all know thisThis must be trolling at his highest level. It is impossible to maintain a conversation with someone who is constantly trying to bash a rider because he doesn't like him. But this WC and Lombardia will give us a clear picture. I will be the first one to give you an apology if Remco wins WC or Lombardia against Pogacar.

On totally flat coursesRemco will be naturally, the best one day racer in the next years. Probably he will win the worlds championships road race.

Clickbait, and the segue for either two principle riders to obscure any outright ambitions. What do you expect them to do? Stand up and act like an octagon fighter, declaring whom they will Crush. How'd that ever work for the Italian teams?Clickbait at its best.
Here is the original question and answer:
If we've learned anything about you in recent years, it's the fact that you never go to races just to put on a starting number. In an interview with Delo, coach Murn said that it is known that Pogačar has announced a move to the rainbow shirt, but that our national team can achieve a top result with both of them. Slovenian fans are already dreaming of gold and silver, how will you agree on roles in the road race within the team? To be honest, it's hard for me to comment on this. Everyone wants to be world champion, it's no secret. How realistic this is for anyone is another matter entirely. This reality will reveal itself during the race, two laps before the end or even in the last lap. These are sweet concerns for Slovenian cycling. If it comes down to who among us will be first and who will be second, I think we will be able to come to an agreement quite quickly.
Exactly. Except that is not the "only" situation. Lacking radios you also add in the fatigue factor. How do either behave when they aren't certain the pre-emptive attack and gap can't be covered and both are still in the mix?Thing is even if they're formally both leaders and 'let the road decide' it's gonna play out that Pogacar is G1 and Roglic is G2.
Problem only arises if Roglic in his role has the role of speculative attacker and Pogacar has to protect Roglic' move. Because that is cycling strategy 101 and it should never apply here, unless specifically Roglic is ahead alone or with some proven non winner like Wilco Kelderman.
Reading news published in some media it does not seem serious at all. They don't even hint him to miss WC. If anything, he will skip the race but he should be OK.Mohorič had a big crash this morning on a bike. No news yet but they say it's serious. That's a huge blow for Team Slovenia RR.
It is serious. He's out of WC race (confirmed by the team).Reading news published in some media it does not seem serious at all. They don't even hint him to miss WC. If anything, he will skip the race but he should be OK.
When I read your post I though about a life threatening or at least a really serious injury (a Van Aert or Vingegaard kind of a fall)
A few Giro and Tdf stages with just a few km solo finishes, MTF.Solo wins / wins ratio in 2024 for the top 10 current favourites at bookies for Men's World Championships in Zürich:• Tadej Pogacar: 14/22 wins solo, average length of solo: 18.1 km• Mathieu van der Poel: 3/4 wins solo, average length: 49.4 km• Remco Evenepoel: 1/7 wins solo, average length: 15.1 km• .pog is 14/22 lmao.they dont know, what is coming in zurich.probably only time this year, that pog will go trully all out.
Bad news really. I am not even worried about Pogacar, I know he still can win it, I'm worried with Mohoric's health and hoping he is not in life danger or in some career ending injury. Let's pray for the best!Mohorič had a big crash this morning on a bike. No news yet but they say it's serious. That's a huge blow for Team Slovenia RR.
After your post, I went to see any recent news about Mohoric and saw something in his instagram that he won't race in worlds due to a heavy crash on a gravel worlds reconLol, now Moho came out and said few stitches won't stop him from going to Worlds RR.
He had a bad injury of his palm and needed stitches.
Win and the greatest season ever will be complete9 days to reveal his super sayajin form. Can't wait to see a nuclear bomb from him.
Triple crown!!!Win and the greatest season ever will be complete
To be honest, Triple crown (among all the other factors) is highly dependable of the Worlds route. Put the Glasgow one (or some of the easier routes) this year and Pog would have much harder time winning the Worlds.Amazing that Stephen Roche is the only rider other than Merckx to have won the triple crown. But it will also be amazing if Pogacar pulls it off this year. Pog must have quite an aura in the peloton now.
Agree on the route, but I really doubt a fit and on form WvA can compete with this Pogacar (or make a difference for Remco). Even the best WvA we have seen would be dropped like a stone on those worlds climbs. To be honest, Triple crown (among all the other factors) is highly dependable of the Worlds route. So maybe Red Rick is indeed right and he is an ultimate luck merchant 😂. Gets a friendly route in a year with the easiest (and least competitive) Giro and his only opponent decides to check Spanish health system before the Tour making it a perfect storm for a Triple crown.
Oh, and Van Aert crashes himself out before the Worlds, making Belgium much easier to deal with.
I don't think even for a second that WVA can stay with Pog. However, in a very likely scenario where Remco is ahead with Pog he'd have the perfect excuse not to work with the Slovenian making the race much more tactical.Agree on the route, but I really doubt a fit and on form WvA can compete with this Pogacar (or make a difference for Remco). Despite his April crash we know Vingegaard did his best ever watts per kilo in the Tour - for example, Vingo was also 2 minutes inside the PdB record. And pretty sure there were a few Giros in the last 26 years which had a soft parcours and weaker competition too. Then of course the Pogacar we saw in the Tour despite a Giro in his legs was still best we have ever seen. So I don't buy the luck meme.
Over time luck evens out. In 2023 he was unlucky with his Liege crash and wrist injury. As for the luck I was obviously joking but all the factors that could work in Pog's favour simply fell into place this year. I mean, even Ayuso dropping out of the Tour just made UAE stronger IMO.
Of course you have to grab the chance and he did.
