Sivakov the only rider that has believable power numbers for a pro. The other pros and their power for that flat section seems way under what they actually produce (how does that work?).
Drafting I believe. Sivakov was riding alone.
Pogacar was probably producing more than 450 watts. Something close to 7 w/kg, alien!

Amazing athlete. Perhaps the most gifted physically cyclist ever. What caught my eye as early as in 2019-2020 was that where almost everyone struggles, twists himself into knots, and pushes the pedals with the entire body, Pogacar just pedals smoothly, with almost no unnecessary upper body movements, even while dancing on the pedals. He has an incredibly strong shoulder girdle, core and back muscles as well as obviously exceptional cardiovascular system.
Ive been around, ive seen them all and some of the legends ive raced against even. Ive seen them all.

But ive never seen a better cyclist than this Pogacar. He is the best cyclist I have ever seen.

Anyone know how long he spent riding by himself off the front this year?

This. Just going purely by the time and distance he spent solo in the lead of the race. But in some of these, he was on the attack for a longer time. For example, in Giro S15, he was only solo off the front for only less than 2 km (after he caught and passed Nairo) but he was actually on the attack for 14+ km. Same with TDF S19.

Rasmussen said he talked with Frans Maassen and Frans told him, Pogacar would not be beaten in the next 5 years, the gap to Pogacar was simply too big for Vingegaard to catch him in the next years.
Though...
Am I the only one who finds weird for it to be voiced by someone with such position in a team like Visma?

I mean, it could easily be true but one would think that either Maassen would've kept it for himself or at the very least he would've told Rasmussen that it was 'off the book'.

'Cause as juicy as it is, if Rasmussen is now working in the media space I doubt he wants to burn bridges with such a important source, over a single scoop.

Michael Rasmussen talked to Frans Maassen, who allegedly said that if this level from Pogacar continues, then he sees no one else winning the tour de france the next 5 years. No one knows what the future brings of course, but still discouraging imo.

If I were Rabobank, I too would scream at the top of my lungs that it is completely unnecessary for Pogi to improve any further, and that he should be fine with only trying to replicate this season for next year.

He was probably making a confession to a friend. Not very friendly from Rasmussen

@mou told us last winter pogi would not lose a GT or any race for 4-5 year too

Apart from Ciciban race Sanremo.

Next year could be shaping up to be an all out assault on monuments

That is a strong possibility as he already rode that kind of schedule in 2022 and 2023 but given how well he performed this season I would actually like if he did a similar schedule to 2024 but riding the Worlds TT as well because it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity of adding another prestigious race to his palmares.

Pogačar might also try to do the Vuelta but since he likes to have a break in August and with the Worlds and Lombardia later on as goals, I doubt he will go down that road.

Get ready ladies & gentleman, 🐐 is finally admitting it🤩 cipressa attack is incoming! Here is how, polit, bjerg position the team to the front for the tre cappis as the race will start from there on. Novak all out on the first two cappis then narvaez all out like sprint on capo berta(2km@7%) with around 25 guys left in the peleton & 37km to go then narvaez will do what formolo did in 2022(dragging the field to the start of poggio) riding for 11 km till the start of cipressa(26km to go) then wellens 1km all out on the 5.6 km climb then the rest is history... i've been dreaming about this since i saw his 🌈 form. If he is in his worlds form by then he wins it by more than a minute
