That's nothing, you should see car prices.
Average car price in US is @$48,000.
.I went to Trek Super Store, a sub 17 pound Ultegra bike w decent 50 wheels is @$8000 and change. And there is a bunch of complicated sales and set-up options.. If you don't have 170 cranks, have to order bike special build w different.. Bike comes with silly 9-10 stem setup 38 on top and do some goat horn looking flare to get 42 in the drops.
54...something top tube..standard setpost may get me close but extended length is another @$160..and I currently have a 130 stem, so if I need additional length at time of purchase no massive charge from Trek but if you buy the bike from showroom floor, new Trek cockpit is over @$600 dollars!!
Now I am watching Seka videos on YouTube!!
DuraAce adds @$2900-3500 to the price!!

Only Mathieu can stop Pogi from winning MSR.
Yeah, we saw that this year.
After second attack only one who immediately cought Pogi was Mathieu.
Honestly I want Pogačar to win MSR this year so I won’t be mad if MvdP wouldn’t show up on the MSR start.

He will not win the TT in UAE Tour.
I didn’t thought so until mou stated that.
Now… I just… I don’t know, but let’s just say that I don’t want to play poger with mou.

There is a chance he doesn't race UAE Tour (like last year)? It is a waste of time
Suddenly there isn’t. Sponsor wants to win and Tadej teammates had problems with that lastly so they need him to win that race.

Flemish Pogacar with a weak classics team is the Pogacar I like the most. For 2023 that was exciting, there was a novelty to it. For 2025 I'm mostly interested in the races that suit him less like E3 and Gent Wevelgem. For RVV I'm afraid that his team just brings him to Oude Kwaremont and he rides of into the (rainy, muddy and cold) sunset.

Ofcourse MSR could be a great 20 minutes too. The tour can be investing only of Vingegaard can compete with him again.

This. I think RVV will be a massacre. Now he has the team to just nuke every single climb and wait for a move in Kwaremont.

He can't win MSR against a peak WVA.

he will race and I back the decision 100%. your owners race and you wear the world champ jersey. would be foolish not to go there.
I know why he will race UAE Tour and you are right. I can add UAE doesn't win the race since 2022 and this is important to owners too.
But what a waste of time and energy, it is going to UAE and just do recovery rides every single stage.

why waste? it's a race, he could do Algarve or Andalucia and do "recovery" rides, as you say, every single stage

It is different. Those races have hills and undulating terrain, and I'm not even talking about these races are closer and shorter compared to UAE Tour.

UAE Tour has 2 uphill finishes. he'll have to fly in any case, be it Malaga, Lisboa, Dubai. UAE team will probably arrive there a few days before to train in warm conditions and do promotional stuff. it would be unusual if he didn't ride.

Yeah, i have the same opinion and don't really get a hate. He doesn't need to be in his peak form for that race, taking 1-2 stage wins +gc win is nice start. Even if he doesn't win UAE tour and Strade who cares. If he somehow manages to win MSR, than i can see him starting later in the season in future, but right now UAE tour+Strade make more sense than T-A or P-N.

I like Narvaez on the Tour team. He was a menace during the Giro last year and if he takes another level with the uae training and gear like Politts for instance I believe he can be a very vital piece in the Tour team, he is super strong and can climb very very decent aswell, value on many terrain is always gold in a GT team.
With Florian as first reserve atm I saw today that team is rock solid!
