Its not so easy to predict how their form will go between now and LBL.

Let me play "maybe":
Maybe TP will be a bit fresher next weekend.
Maybe RE will be less fresh after his first races.
Maybe they're both freaks and it s hard to predict their form.
Wrong.

TP will hope he can hold his level. It will be very hard to increase form. He needs to rest himself, to just be fresher in that regard. He wont be able to get in better shape now than what he is.

Remco will just get better form-wise after spending a great deal of time in training. His form will get better with these races. His big goal is LBL and he looks very much on pace.

Mate I know, I look like a clown right now. I should be more cautious next time.

These are things that happen when you take risks, like Pogačar.
When you compete a lot, there's a greater risk of not winning.

Vingegaard won't lose at home, and there won't be any such comments in his thread because nothing can be said until Dauphine.

I say this because his followers have to come to Pogacar's thread to laugh at him or forum members here, because Vingegaard doesn't give them content until July, like Froome used to.

That's something I won't understand. How do people who claim to be fans of Froome and Vingegaard come to the thread about riders who compete more than them to laugh when they lose?
Obviously, those who don't compete half as much don't have the risk of losing them, and there will be little to comment in their threads because unfortunately we can't comment on Vingegaard until the Dauphine.

He just didn't win because he is not fresh. His peak was for RVV. Last year he attacked in Zurich and no one caught him. He is only unbeatable when he is fresh as a daisy.
In Zurich, his anticipation without earpieces helped him, which made the chase difficult.
In the final kilometers, he wasn't as strong and didn't increase his lead.

In the 2020 TDF, he managed to being inferior in team and experience until the final time trial and still have a chance.
He won his first Liège in sprint.

He hasn't always won by minutes, and it's not fair to say he wins by being strong, because everyone does that in sport.

If Sjkelmose was here today, it's because he was strong. If Alaphilippe had been strong, he would have fought the sprint. Skjelmose was with them because he was stronger than the rest who couldn't

Everyone who wins is strong; we're talking about cycling, a sport of strength and endurance.

I think too many conclusions are being drawn from a post-PR race.
Everyone who has done a PR says the week after is the worst. It's the first time Pogacar has done a PR. He didn't know the limits of that race.
Less drama, please

No, he likes the Classics.

I prefer a rider like that to Froome, but it doesn't matter what you or I think, what matters is what he thinks. And Pogacar likes racing the Classics.

If he were to concentrate all year at altitude and only race in July, like Vignegaard is doing this year, he'd probably lose motivation faster than Sagan and would be retired at 30.
He can still do Paris-Nice, Itzulia and LBL.
Let me tell something more guys that will blow your mind.
Pogacar is not the only GC rider that can be good in monuments.
I see a fully fit Remco doing what Pog did in San Remo. We even saw Roglic a couple of years ago closing Pog on Poggio with no issues. I see Remco also capable of winning Flanders.
Do you know why they are not at those races? Because Grand Tours are what defines cycling. Pogacar is wasting his talent with a ridiculous calendar like this year.

Wrong (maybe):

If TP was still recovering from the pounding of PR, he will be fresher next weekend than today.

Frequently, after time away from racing the first few races take a big (er) toll. RE, as we all know, is a freak though so who knows.

I said he will be fresher just because he will have had another week removed from PR, but it still was a tough race today. That adds to it.

His form or shape wont be getting better. The fatigue in his body wont just go away after a tough spring in a weeks time.

He is still Pog and could win. Will likely finish at worst 2nd, maybe, but it will be really difficult to beat Remco in LBL. He is fresher, more prepared and his form is increasing.

Classics are important too. Pogacar can still rest after LBL and rebuild for the Tour. Dropping weight is more on nutrition than training so he will be good

Naw. Rou bro overreacting here. @Cycling111 got this one nailed in. Pogi paid a single and substantial cost for P-R. And all he had to do was stay in until the final circuit for a credible shot at winning.

Vuelta participation depends on the difficulty of July.
Mate, the reason why I sound like a broken record is because I want Pog to achieve the biggest feats in his career. I've been following him from the start and I believe that his recovery capacity is overrated. That's why I was against this heavy spring schedule because it will hurt him significantly for July.
