True but even on Combloux he looked kinda fresh. He didnt show his true power, im pretty sure of thatPogacar showed his true level on Combloux. Unfortunately for Jonas the gap is too big right now and I think the gap will not close at all.

Yup. For some reason he took a week off in May,maybe he was too good and they tried to cool him down. I believe he will reach another level after Isola and this means Vingegaard has no chance. I can be totally wrong but we will have a similar Tour compared to Tour 2024I agree Tadej looked way too at ease. If we had the same result but with a more exhausted looking Pogacar I wouldnt be so sure.
I appreciate his entering into the podcast fray. Somehow he’s managed less detail there than his tweets, which are quite comprehensive. What is new here is his thoughts on doping, as a doper, and how it visibly affects performance across a schedule. And some thoughts on training method differences since his time in the sport. And his perspective on why this dominance is not bad at all for the sport, particularly the way pogi goes about with it in races.View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSP2P8g8U_c&t=3806s
When you have the time watch and listen to the whole podcast of Tom Danielson.
He brings several interesting topics.
Here are some of them:
15:15 - Jonas has the level and he's raising it according to what he sees from Pogacar. The problem is that Pogacar has more than what he shows.
17:00 - He talks about the TT
32:08 - Tadej holding back on Stage 7
He talks about other things as well so I suggest you listen to the whole show.

“He won the Tour de l’Avenir that year in absolutely dominant fashion — and he did it without the backing of a team,” recalls Gianetti. “Shortly afterwards, I met him for the first time at our headquarters in Milan. That’s where we signed his first contract.”
“He reminded me of the first time I met Roger Federer, back at the Sydney Olympics,” he says. “We were both part of the Swiss Olympic team. Federer was just 18 then and ranked 34th in the world — but when you spoke to him, you could feel it: there was something extraordinary there. I had the exact same feeling with Tadej.”

I'm pretty sure he will replace Adam.So what do we think about Majka and the Tour? I follow him on Instagram and he seems to be training at altitude. I can't see any reason for him to be at altitude so soon after the Giro unless there is a chance he's going to the Tour. Has anyone heard any rumours? I wondered if there might be doubts about Adam Yates's form? I'd love to see Majka back on the Tour team!
That was before, he is Federer now.We should change the thread's title. "Slovenian Merckx - The modern Goat!"
I like Adam Yates, but I'm absolutely devoted to Majka so I hope this is true!I'm pretty sure he will replace Adam.
Isn't you who constantly was claiming at the start of the year that vingegaard can win the tour with ideal prep while we were saying it will be even worse for him. Even as a neutral fan u could see this coming as last year pog only had j.sola for 1 year. Its logical specially as a cyclist that u get even better the next years with the new & different training plan. I can mention a few names who are in this forum who claimed at the start of the year that 2025 tour could be boring & well 6 months later here we are discussing how boring of a tour it could be even before it starts.Yup. I wasn't the only one to think this but I will be the first to admit I was wrong if Pogacar beats Vingegaard in 5 weeks (and I think he will after what I saw 1 week ago).Isn't you who constantly was claiming at the start of the year that vingegaard can win the tour with ideal prep while we were saying it will be even worse for him. There is a chance he is the first reserve rider to race the Tour.I like Adam Yates, but I'm absolutely devoted to Majka so I hope this is true!
He's notSo Tadej isn't the slovenian Merckx, but slovenian Federer then?
wtf is he even talking about..The true reason behind Gilbert's comment.

Basically Pogacar can't show he is effortless while crushing his rivals so he should fake a little bit just to not offend his opponents.wtf is he even talking about..
I know but this is just stupid. Cycling is the only sport that when u are the best you should just stop winning , because otherwise you are disrespectful..Basically Pogacar can't show he is effortless while is crushing his rivals so he should fake a little bit just for his opponents not be angry.
Yes. What was Federer supposed to do after his 2004 season?I know but this is just stupid. Cycling is the only sport that when u are the best you should just stop winning , because otherwise you are disrespectful..
