In truth i don't see any similarly with the 2024 SanLuca. The climb was ridden in a different way. And Pogacar attacked in the false flat . Ofc today Jonas went into red but he showed a very good level too.

Pogacar has been better on long mountains than on short ones since last year, so what happened today is a very good sign for him.

I didn't think he was going to droppe Vingegaard today.

His best terrain nowadays are long climbs and to almost drop vingegaard on such a short climb also pog had to go at his absolute limit and vingegaard was able to come back. Great ride by the team and win by Pogacar. Showed Vingegaard is still struggling to follow Pogacar’s attacks then maybe Almeida is the missing link for MSR

Only mishap was Wellens not fighting for the KoM Uno x got and Pogacar not trying to let Vingegaard pass him but at that point it was too late.

I was a bit surprised UAE were riding the Y1Rs today but i'm assuming they know which bike is best for each stage.

I wouldn't say it affects his punch but on today's last climb that bike is not as good as the V5rs for the simple reason it weighs 7.5 kg compared to the v5rs which weighs 6.8kg. When pog attacked there was a 14-15% gradient, he must have pushed crazy watts to be so fast on a relatively heavy bike

I predict them to be quite equal and not more than 30-40 s behind Remco.

This is what I expected before the Dauphiné, I am a little bit skeptical

yes clearly cooked but super strong, to me is a good sign that pog was able to push him so much on a super short climb. Vingegaard has clearly worked a lot on explosivity but today was a super good sign for pog's level

I have a strange feeling he'll be in yellow tomorrow. He likes colourful jerseys, despite the burden. Dauphine was a test ride, now it's for real. Remco will win but I see Pogi going full gas not far off and beating Vinge.
