Eddy has 279 Victories. Stop with 500 Victories LIE.
I think Pog realistically can retire with 200 Victories.
Pog can’t even win one san remo or a roubaix, feats Eddy accomplished many many times.

Pog may have fell off on purpose at Roubaix, scared of getting beaten in a square go by Van der poel, the poor man’s De Vlameinck.

Now he’s scared of getting beaten at the Vuelta we are hearing?

He lost twice in his prime to his only rival at the tour, Anquetil or Merckx never suffered such ignominy.

This man is your goat and messiah?

Pogacar rode the first thirteen stages à la Merckx, attacking and winning whenever possible. Then he switched to his Indurain mode, defending yellow and giving away stages. He's mentally fatigued and would like to go home to Urska, but he'll have to wait another week, because she's in the Women's Tour.

I expect him to do WC ITT, WC RR and a fifth consecutive Lombardia. Next year he can fill in a few more gaps with Romandie, Suisse and Vuelta. If he needs rest, let him take it to reload the batteries - figuratively speaking.

Pressure, hard racing after already other early season peaks, a competing team that made the race hard for you since day one, break tests you with their car, sends riders to block you while fetching bottles, a crash, a cold and in general 3 weeks of racing - and people are like "why is he not smiling?", "why is he tired?"

Lol...
I am asking "why does he look like a different man?", "Why is he not happy to win anymore?" I don't cheer for him as a rider, but I will always worry for the guys behing the riders.

Urska is not riding the TDF Femmes.

Cannibals don’t get tired.
Cannibals don’t crack in their prime.
Cannibals don’t race like a cannibal for two weeks then like a quiet Spanish gentleman for one week.
Cannibals aren’t content with another Lombardy.
Cannibals aren’t cannibals if they can’t win a single pithering San Remo.
Embarrassment indeed.

You don't seem to grasp that saying Pogacar is like Mercks it's not supposed to mean he's a identical to Merckx.

I would say that Pogacar is more talented than him but is yet to surpass his palmares.
At this moment for me it is like this in terms of achievements:
Merckx
Hinault
Pogacar
Maybe, he needs to surpass them to be the goat no matter how talented.
Bartali was robbed of all his prime years, he could have been more talented than pog or Merckx and have more tours.
In the end it’s results that count.

I just think it’s doing Merckx a disservice to say he only raced against nobodies and that Pogacar is already above him, is that unreasonable ?

Ah well that's not what you were saying, at least not in the post I quoted.
I don't even argue that Pog is above Merckx, it's still a huge difference in the Palmares.
Given that they are from different Generations with different opposition it's a complicated discussion anyway. Not the least because if you talk about 'Greatness' it's really not so clear what everybody means by this. I just know that it's not measured in wattage.

Indurain went to the Giro 3 times and won 2.
Indurain went to the Vuelta 7 times and won 0.
The 3 GTs have their own differences and only the most complete GT riders can win them all.
Pogacar knows and appreciates this.
The Vuelta was moved to its present dates in. 1995. Prior to that it was raced April which would have made it difficult to do Vuelta/Giro. But I don’t know which editions he raced.
