The thing with cycling is that it’ll never be a really global sport, the reason is that it’s too expensive for most to get in to.
Football you need a pair of feet and your mates football , cycling you need a bike , helmet, shoes, gloves etc.
If you can get all those things your mate probably has a better bike so you might quit before you get discovered as having some talent.
