Josean Fernández Matxín reveals that the tests he's been undergoing with his nutritionist and trainer are going to scare his rivals in the coming years. LOL

Do you mean that, after learning to train profesionally, Teddy will finally stop eating kebabs and chips? Oh man, end of cycling incoming.

The problem is definitely on them.
First they start booing you.
Next come the serious doping accusations in the media.
Next is the throwing of p*ss in your face.
Finally physical attacks against you.
All the great TDF champions of the past suffered this (minus the French ones).
As I said Pogacar got some advise after Peyragude to lay low and be conservative.
All of those things are not equivalent or logically sequential. It turns from expression to physical assault which has not happened yet against pogi. If the physical assaults begin and the race organizers can not control it then we’ll have a different sort of conversation

Guys are already seeing therapists left and right and having sleepless nights as it is. And now hes about to kick it up a gear? Well poor lads.

Next year he is going to win ALL 5 Monuments + TdF + Vuelta + WC + ITT WCC.

I really hope he wins Quebec, WC ITT and EC RR this year. They are of course not priority like WC RR and Lombardia but with winning all those races, there would be only Vuelta, San Sebastian, Paris-Tours and maybe WC gravel+ EC ITT to win it in fall. I hope he goes for all of it. Also perfect schedule for me for next year would be Omloop, MSR, GW(orE3) RVV, P-R, LBL, Romandie, TdF, Vuelta, WC RR and Lombardia.

The thing is, next year, Pogi might want to optimally prepare for the Worlds so Vuelta is probably unlikely again, especially with Pogi going for a heavy spring classics campaign like this year. Also, if he wants to add one of the seven big 1-week stage races to his palmares, Suisse is probably the most ideal to aim for ahead of the Tour, not Romandie.

I could see him riding Suisse as prep for the Tour as he has not won that as yet. Otherwise I suspect it will be-

Strade
MSR
E3 or GW
Ronde
Roubaix
Amstel or Fleche
LBL
Dauphine or Suisse
Tour

If he feels he needs a stage race early he may go back to UAE Tour.

I really hope Pog doesn't have to go to UAE Tour again. Won that thrice already. Like surely Almeida, Del Toro, or Ayuso have the capabilities to clean that race up.

So Pogi's off to Quebec again to try and drop De Lie. :)
It is a slightly harder circuit this year. 2 laps longer and they replaced the main climb with a 375 m 10% climb with the climb situated inside the final 2 km. Still think that's too short for Pog to go solo but you never know.

Alot of that stuff seemed to happen to MvP....in Belgium. Granted the Tour crowd includes all nationalities but I'm not sure the French fan base gives 2 sh*ts about nationalities when they won a stage. It's those niche haters that all decide to attend and "show that cheat". I'm surprised drunks haven't caused serious damage through no ill will.

If that's true this is good news for Pogi. Last year de Lie was on the ropes on the easier circuit.
He is certainly getting dropped on the new one.

Will be hard to drop Wout imo if he's in good shape. If Pog is not able to drop Wout, the only way he wins the sprint is if Wout goes over his limit following Pog and is not able to sufficiently recover.

Remco will be doing the Tour of Britain. Is better than going to Canada and from there to Rwanda.
Although there will be better participation in Canada and it will be a better test.

What is said about national teams
Belgium: No Wout, no Wellens in WC yes in European Championsjip
Yes: Van Gils, Cian, Nys, Campenaerts

Slovenia: No Mohoric, No Tratnik
Roglic in doubt 💀

I think Roglic will eventually go, but Slovenia's team is definitely *** this year. It all depends on Novak being able to control somewhat.

Where have you seen Mohoric and Tratnik isn't going?

No Wellens in the Belgian Worlds team is a massive surprise. In top shape, he'll be Remco's best domestique along with Campanearts if there's no Wout.

That's actually rough for Slovenia. At this point, Pogi might just have to go on a 100+ km solo from Mount Kigali and hope that G2 syndrome kicks in hard.
