MJ retired and came backWon't Pogi be washed up by the time Seixas reaches his full potential? He definitely sounded like that in his post Tour interviews.
Hum... he knows he can win a GT next year so I'm inclined to think he will race the Giro.I think Del Toro will be in the Tour lineup already if he isn't targeting the Giro.
Vingegaard will go to the Giro. He's not going to win the Giro against Vingegaard.Hum... he knows he can win a GT next year so I'm inclined to think he will race the Giro.
You don't know. There is also a chance of Del Toro riding the Vuelta.Vingegaard will go to the Giro. He's not going to win the Giro against Vingegaard.
This is what he hinted at in his statements at the Vuelta. You don't know. There is also a chance of Del Toro riding the Vuelta.
Yeah Jonas said that if the decision was only up to him, he would ride the Giro next year. But of course he will have to talk it up with Visma before making a final decision on whether he goes Giro-Tour or not. This is what he hinted at in his statements at the Vuelta.
He's going to turn 30 next year, I think it's obvious that he's going to go.
He was fine doing the Tour-Vuelta in 2023. He was probably even the strongest in the 3rd week of the Vuelta that year. His underperformance at the Vuelta this year was due to his sickness.I'm very sceptical that Vingegaard will enter next year's Giro, whatever hints he may have given this year. As we saw at the Vuelta, he doesn't have the ability to race two consecutive Grand Tours at the same high level and I think it pretty much rules him out of contention at the Tour de France. And I don't think he would do that, or his team would risk him turning up sub-standard.
He was still far from his best shape (what he showed in the Tour). He was fine doing the Tour-Vuelta in 2023. He was probably even the strongest in the 3rd week of the Vuelta that year. His underperformance at the Vuelta this year was due to his sickness.
This year? Yeah because he was sick during the big mountain stages. He was still far from his best shape (what he showed in the Tour).
This year and 2023.This year? Yeah because he was sick during the big mountain stages.
But then again, I actually think that nowadays the Tour-Vuelta is much harder to maintain high lever for both races than the Giro-Tour.He was still far from his best shape (what he showed in the Tour).
It wasn't that far in 2023 (ofc Tour numbers were still better). This year and 2023.
All those who have won the Giro-Tour double. But with the exception of Pogacar, who has performed better at the Tour than they did at the Giro in the same year?
Dumoulin in 2018? Don't know if better but at a similar level.Irrespective of those who won it, who actually performed better in the Tour having done a serious Giro? I can't think of anyone. Froome was weaker, Geraint Thomas dramatically so, to give just two examples
The answer is the same: Those who won itIrrespective of those who won it, who actually performed better in the Tour having done a serious Giro? I can't think of anyone. Froome was weaker, Geraint Thomas dramatically so, to give just two examples
