pog will not do dauphine, looking at del toro schedule (sb, msr, tdf) there are many races where he will have to work por pogacar so at least at dauphine he will be the leader, I expect pog to do tour de suisse (probably the only one week race he'll do before the tour)

Strade and the 4 Monuments in spring + Romandie. Then Suisse and TDF
Assume that means no Vuelta, I haven't seen the full report? Fatigue management from starting a bit later just seems to have been offset by doing Romandie and a Suisse with closer proximity to The Tour than he usually has. Not that I mind it, I always preferred the Vuelta with no real big guns going. Would've liked opening weekend then E3/Gent and fully skip Ardennes but that always seemed unrealistic.

Maybe if Vingegaard shows up in average shape on his second GT then he can manage the efforts like the Giro in 2023, but the World's obviously suits him so understandable that he would focus more on that.

Christen/Arietta/Morgado at the Giro could be hilarious, some potential for real carnage, shame Soler isn't there really, poor Almeida.

UAE's Giro squad. With Yates there and his Tour being subpar this year after riding the Giro, I think (and hope) there's a replacement for him at the Tour.
Vine will replace him, which is just an upgrade on all terrain heading into 2026. I expect Yates to begin slotting into the role Majka had in his last years, which shouldn’t be understated or undermined btw, super valueable for any unit.

he has chosen a very good calendar. He will start in march instead of february which is very smart plus he will not do amstel and fleche which is great considering the difficulty of PR. Romandie is not the best choice but still he will have a pretty light calendar before the tour, only 17 race days, even less than this year (22). So vuelta is still possible. And it's clear from this schedule he will try everything to get to MSR, flanders and PR and LBL in absolute great form, even more than 2025

As expected, more or less, with emphasis on farming monuments while also the possibility of options by being fresher for the second part of the season.

Only thing was both Romandie and Suisse I didn’t see that one coming, expected one but getting two out of the way fast makes sense. Btw, even if expected, love to see him at the Ronde again. Just beautiful to watch. Love to see it.

Brother is half retired. Riding like someone who has another job on the side
wtf are you talking about, it's clear he's trying the impossible: completing cycling in the modern era (winning all 3 GTs, 5 monuments, WCs, olympics and the 7 big one week races). The only way to have a chance for him is to be very selective in his calendar choice

That's just a long-winded way of saying 'Ducking Jordi Meeus and Nils Eekhoff at Mémorial Frank Vandenbroucke'.

Pretty sure that was sarcasm

That's what's only been revealed so far. I assume no Vuelta as well considering the Worlds suit him and he probably would want the best prep by going to the Canadian classics. I honestly also wanted the opening weekend for Pogi but I guess that can wait.

Sounds like they'll decide about the Vuelta closer to the time. Might depend how he is coming out of the Tour. A lot of people act like it's a done deal he won't do the Vuelta because he's always tired after the Tour, but they forget he would 100% have done it in 2024 if it weren't for team politics. If he has another Tour like that, he'll do the Vuelta.
