As long as your only cost is losing some time with typing, what’s the harm, right? If you had to put your money on it, I bet it would be an insignificant sum, though…
2019, Rogla at Peak and Pogi nowhere near his peak
2020, Rogla at peak and Pogi better than 2019 (Rogla had a path to victory)
2021 - 2023 Rogla slowly declining and Pogi being better and better (lost to Jonas twice)
2024 - Rogla nowhere near his former peak and declining, Pogi almost at his peak

Just take this graph in for a bit and appreciate that a major publication actually hit "publish" on something so riddled with errors and inconsistencies

Example of Pogacar not being the strongest and still winning based on race intelligence?
Would be very hard to find because he's (almost) always the strongest. My point is that if you are the strongest, you want tactics to play as little role as possible. That's why Pogacar, MvdP, Remco, do solos whenever possible. Because unless Pogacar's 2025 Amstel happens you're basically guaranteed to win, whereas with tactics you are much more likely to lose

2023 Il Lombardia? Don't know if that qualifies as "winning based on race intelligence" but that was when Pogi attacked just as the descent from Ganda started and the G2 syndrome just immediately kicked in.
