oops check thatRabo site lists him as 1.80 m and 65kg. That is light for his height.
Maybe the talk of heavier GC riders should move to the clinic
Phinney will just a TT/Sprinter![]()
ManInFull said:Where are you getting the "Lance was 170 pounds when he was dominating the TdF"? I am not buying that. I think he was closer to the low 160s.
And indeed most GT contenders already had a top 10 or top 15 under their name before they where 25.Franklin said:I always hear: "The kid is way to young to do a GT".
That's actually quite strange considering some other youngsters
Alberto Contador
Andy Schleck
Laurent Fignon

History seems to indicate that the really great can be thrown in at a really early age and that they can be competitive from the start. Whereas classics riders tend to be a tad older. I think Andy is the youngest classic winner I saw in ages... and he is quite seasoned even though he is young.

sublimit said:Yes, and then start slagging team Sky for underachieving yet again.... Gesink looked good yesterday BTW.
Taylor looks like a classics rider and he should also look for TT stages at the Tours. He's a big guy for a 20 year old and whether he grows any taller and heavier who knows, but I dont see him as a GC man in grand tours.
I have no reason to assume he is not a great TT-er, certainly in his age group.joy118118 said:TT stages? Phinney's TT skill is not as excellent as everyone thinks. maybe we will see it in U23 Worlds TT.
