I predict a Yo-yo moment

Funny thing about yo-yo is the fact that it's not Froome yo-yoing around the other riders. It's actually the other way around.

Don't expect massive time gaps but I feel that the other GC men have to put time into Froome today to give us hope of an open race. Being so early in the race, it certainly looks like a stage for the GC men as Sky will have to control the pace and not let any dangerous breaks go too far in front.

My prediction is that Porte will attack with Quintana and Froome both sitting on his wheel and Quintana to eventually win the stage ahead of Porte and Froome. Froome to be in yellow by the end of the day.

Considering whole stage is short and easy Top 15 will probably all finish inside 45s-60s.

If he's actually a marked man I don't see Aru winning here, the climb is probably a bit too short for him.
I would think he would be.

This climb isn't as steep as some are thinking. For all of it bar the end 200m it stays in single digits, Mont Du Chat us far steeper.

Don't know mont du chat but from personal experience i can tell you it's not a regular climb. It's a series of steep ramps and shallower sections.

I've gone D.Martin.

Flying under the radar, of all the QS on the menu for stage three I didn't even consider him - yet there he was on the podium. Very interested to see what Aru and Bardet can do.

I am surprised that Sky havent tried getting shut of yellow for now. They have pressure on them with carrying it for so long. The press confs, the interviews, and especially today, they have the pressure now to control the race.

Portal hinted they wouldn't chase. Could be one for the break.

Sky will control the race anyways so they wouldn't be too bothered.

Peak Nibali was only able to put 20s into Pinot on a much harder stage in 2014, and in basically the same stage in 2012 Froome only distanced Zubeldia by 44s. That year was a weirdly weak in depth: Rogers came in the top 15.

Guess i didn't miss anything yesterday.

My pick for today's stage:

1. Aru
2. Froome
3. Quintana

Think Porte will attack early on the climb and will have Martin on his wheel. Then we wait and see what happens. Would like a couple of GC teams to ride a fast tempo on the front with 80kms to go.

Just to say as a guy from Mozambique, today I feel a lil bit ashamed that DD call themselves Africa´s team while pulling such power plays as those of that appeal.
