Out of mostly boredom I've decided to conduct a poll to see who right now out of the four most obvious contenders this illustrious place believes will be in yellow next July. These are the contenders and there likely support who you think wins?

Nibali?

Doms:
Landa, Kangert, Sanchez, Malacarne, Westra, Grivko, Taaramae, Fulgsang

Froome?

Doms:
Konig, Roche, Poels, Porte, Kennaugh, Nieve, Thomas, Henao

Contador?

Doms:
Majka, Rogers, Kiserlovski, Paulinho, Hernandez, Basso, Bennati, Sagan

Quintana?

Doms:
Valverde, Anton, Gadret, Izzagire, Intxausti, Malori, Visconti, Rojas

My votes in the poll. I will say though looking at the prospective teams the final group is going to be composed of about four big groups of jerseys ans small groups of others.

Ritchie will make one mother of a come back.

Depends a lot on the route. If it's really mountainous I'd give the nod to Nairo.

In any case, my hope is that all are healthy. It will make for one hell of a race.

Oh come on.
There's better races in the world than this media tour.
I'll enjoy it every July, but if you're bored in september, maybe try thinking about the WC, or Lombardy.

How to pick Tour winner:

1; Only high mountains matter (short ITT): Quintana

2; Long ITT, not enough high mountains: Froome

3; Mix mountains/ITT: Contador
(enough ITT to distance Quintana, but also enough mountains to distance Froome, provided he's not too mutant)

4; Many short MTFs (and supershort ITT): Rodriguez

5; Cobbles/crazy wheather: Nibali (provided others crash)

6; Plenty of short cobbled climbs + long ITT (no high mountains): Cancellara

7; Huge time bonuses in sprints (incl. intermediate): Sagan
(not enough ITT/mountains)

8; Huge time bonus only for the stage winner: Kittel
(not enough ITT/mountains)

Jesus, the Vuelta just ended, we don't even know the route of any of the GT's. It is way to early for all this talk of who does this or that in 2015. We know absolutely nothing of who will be in form, who will emerge/re-emerge, or who will be out of form.

So since we know nothing of 2015 yet, the obvious answer to this question  is Marcel Kittel.

Contador's win raises a big question, is this the triumphant return of the greatest GT rider of his generation, the man who won 6 GTs he entered in a row (the last two nullified by his doping suspension)? Or will it be another false alarm like his 2012 Vuelta win? He'll be 32 years old next season. He should have a few good years left.

Froome and Contador to go berserk. Only Quintana can limit losses but will lose too much time in the flat TT. Froome to win by 3 seconds in the closest finish of all time. Andy Schleck and Basso to round out the top 5.

Do you reckon all will go to the Tour? One of the great things if all 4 do go the Tour is it will really open up the other GT's for Aru, Majka, Valverde, J-Rod and Uran.
