Most likely riders on the podium in order:

1. Valverde
2. Pinot
3. Van Garderen
4. Bardet
5. Peraud

Crikey, that was quick!! Do you live next door and saw me doing the poll? :)

Depends how the young Frenchies hold up against TJVG on the TT I suppose, and if AVV blows up again.

Personally I want Pinot and Bardet to round out the podium, but I've a feeling AVV and TJVG will instead. Bardet especially will need as much time as he can get going into that TT, because he'll lose time on all the others there I expect.

I would go with Valverde for 2nd place,he's got to improve,3rd weak form is coming,if not he's ****ed and TJ should be the 3rd guy because of his TT abilities.I'm sorry for the french guys but i don't think they gonna make it on the podium this year.

Voted TJVG with my head and Bardet with my heart and ignored Valverde for acting like an idiot yesterday.

Think TJVG is on good form and will take time off everyone in the TT.

Bardet has given 110% but on second thoughts will probably suffer some form of fatigue next week.

Therefore, and I hate saying this, we probably wont see a Frenchman podium but Valverde hang on and TJ crush the TT.

they will stay close enough uphill to Valv/Bardet/Pinot and strike in ITT

To be honest was unaware of Perauds ITT performance. Can't remember him ever sticking out so just presumed he was, meh.

EDIT: wasn't it Peraud that crashed out of the ITT last year?

Voted Piti and TJVG, but I want to be wrong. For my fellow Frenchies Pinot and Bardet to be on the podium, they need to be ahead of Piti in the GC before the ITT, and they probably need 2 1/2 minutes on TJVG, who is the best ITT specialist of the five.

Van Garderen can take a lot of the time to the other contenders in the final TT. The course is long and hard (but not really mountainous). 3 or 4 mintues on guys like Bardet doesn't sound like a S-F.

My wishful thinking is Van Garderen and Bardet (because Mollema is probably too far back). But what will actually happen, I have no idea. It's surprising enough to see what riders have a serious shot at it. I'm also happy, because it will be a big result for someone, no matter if it is TJVG, Pinot, Bardet or Peraud, at least one of them will finish on the podium and it will be great to see that kind of surprise, based on pre-race expectations.

Valverde will defeat himself.

Pinot has been TTing well this season and is looking strong. 2nd place for him.

I hope Bardet will take 3rd, but I fear he will crack one of the days in the Pyrenees. French Papy as back up.

He did. He was already riding with a broken collarbone if I recall correctly.

Yeh that's right! And it looked like he landed right on it when he crashed ! Ouch!

Seems that there will be a lot riding on the ITT but plenty of climbing yet.

Those weakest at the ITT must attack!

TJVG looks good based on how he rode today despite supposing to have bronchitis (i.e.; should get better) and he has the TT to come where he should gain time on all the GC contenders.

But the hard part is predicting who will be the other. I only voted Peraud on how he went today but really it was just a guess

My dream podium at this point would have to be
2. Bardet or Pinot (both are talented French riders so happy with either)
3. TJVG (take that haters! Told you this would happen, Tejay proving you wrong! :p :D)

By I think it will probably be.
2. Valverde
3. Pinot/Bardet

Edit: finished watching the stage and Valverde really wasn't impressing me that much, maybe my dream podium is a little more likely then I originally thought...:D
