OPL really suck in getting people in a breakaway lol. They got to be the only team so far who have been in zero breaks.

Anyway, Cav just won the green jersey. Break is too big and has a good chance of getting the win on Plateau de Beille. What a shame.

The australians have lot of reason to be proud in this TdF. Not only is Cadel Evans well placed, but Arthur Vichot is in a break for the second time, and we all remember who first saw his talent:

Talent? Its random. :p

Hope Casar gets yellow/or one of the three gets the stage win. FDJ deserve it after all the efforts of Roy, Delage and Casar.

Normally Mollema (2nd castilla y leon, 5th Tour de Suisse, etc) should be the best climber of the group. But after his illness earlier this week, I'm not sure

Gerdemann of Voigt I'd have thought would be best climber in that.

Is this strategy of Leopard now not to drive the pace up front until the last climb?

Off the top of my head, I thought Lang got in a break on one of the flat stages?? Maybe i might be thinking of last year and my research of breakaways miles by riders.

Talking of the Leopards in this context is redundant IMO, they will definitely drop back to help Andy at some point in the stage, TGBM doesn't have to.

Lang was in solo break in this year's Giro.:) He is not in roster here.

I mean attacking on the ascent and then having Voigt from breakaway who goes back and pulls them on the descent and flat before Plateau. 99% sure such scenario won't happen, of course.

Of course it won't.

But even so, if you want them to be pulled on the descent, then Linus Gerdemann is a much better descender than Voigt, but watching him have to ride within himself to drag the Schlecks' worthless hides down the mountainside would be worse than watching Nibali have to physically pull Basso down the Mortirolo last year.

Gerdemann and Voigt better climbers than Mollema? How?

Like I said, if he is still not 100% from his illness, yeah, but normally, no.

On the basis that Voigt got over the Tourmalet in one piece 2 days ago, TGBM not. :p

You are only as good as your last race (or stage).

Andrew says this is by far the queen stage.

Chapeau to all those East and Central Americans waking up at 3. Takes a special type of fan to go to those lenghts.

Shame that Phil didnt go for the intermediate, that would have been awesome.

But when Mollema is over his illness and back to his best, no way.

No SBS in the break. Why? Should make Agnes descent somewhat interesting, if Schlecks attack.

Andrew doing something on a stage before the final climb of the day?

Personally I think the Ullrich attacking from the crowd scenario is more likely.

The East and Central time zoner actually got up later....it was a 3 am wake up call for us Pacific time zone on the West coast of the US...if I was younger, would have stayed up all night...

hope this stage lives up to the intro you did Hitch...otherwise..i will fall asleep..

Yeah but unfortunately there is no headstart for injured/ill riders.

There isn't? I thought that if you got a note from your mommy the other riders will let you win ;)

It was 0300 in California. New York (+3 hrs) and Chicago (+2 hrs) had it marginally easier this morning.
