really is a shame AS can't TT better - they're so evenly matched in the mountains but AC will always have that 2-3 minutes in his pocket from the various TT's.

Perhaps, but they weren't evenly matched in the mountains last year, last year Contador was stronger in the TTs and the mountains, this year they're even in the mountain but Contador still has the edge in TTs. Next year? Obviously smart money still says Contador, but the gap between them has grown smaller so perhaps.

He rode as hard as he could, and he just isn't strong enough to drop him. Nothing more that he could do.

What I meant was, there was no way he was ever going to ride AC off his wheel like this. He needed to attack, not just set a high tempo.

I am wondering if Alberto is going to sprint to the line. Funny, but if he sprints and gets it then all the fanboys are going to complain about his lack of "fair-play" for not giving away the stage. If he doesn't sprint, fanboys would go on forever about how Alberto humiliated Andy by not sprinting.

Contador doing a magnificent Levi impersonation.

He did ride for Bruyneel for several years. Won a Giro by following Ricco's wheel.

While he can attack... he's not as agressive as people think... he's got the Hog influence.
