Are Paul and Phil even watching the race? Sanchez didn't have that bad of a ride; faster than VdB and much faster than Gesink and in the same neighborhood as Contador and Schleck. They acted like he finished dead last?

The gap is exactly 39 seconds the exact time of the chain. (he went from 8 ahead to 31 behind so 39 not 31 like some stated). But if you count in the cobbles AC was 1'13'' (42+31) faster then AS in all the direct duels, that's a gap that will make for a very close race next year.

My guess is that AS will win more tours the next 5 years then AC, especially if AC will actually ride a Giro to win like he said he was planning.

THANK YOU! Slagging him off for a fine ride. Same with Wiggo. Slagged him off saying he didn't have it today. Only rider in the top 50 before the stage to enter the top 10!

Your full of ****. Gesink did a good TT considering the wind. And if you deny it your jsut blind
And Tommy D never finished 6th in the Tour de France...

I am full of sh!t says the guy who supported a fancy little doper who got busted, and now supports a fancy little disappointment who finished 6th...that is spelled sixth.

Gesink finished 6th, welcome to the closest he will ever get to the podium...great show I guess....

Ryder:
52km @ 1:07:36 = 46km/hr

Seems right on par to me.

Sherwen has continually contradicted himself, plus he obviously has a raging boner for Contador, presumably because Paul is an LA fan-boy and AC wouldn't give His Lanceness back his crown. And Andy is the enemy of his enemy so he can never find enough nice things to say about him.

Dude he is 24 and rides his first Tour where he actually saw mountains in possible the strongest field in years.

You can downplay it all you want, I think it's great  and he obviously has a great future ahead of him.
Be jealous of it. I will only laugh.

Looks like Rabo got what they went in for, first Rabo podium ever. Just as well, as there wasn't much else.

Sod chaingate, if there hadn't be a neutralisation in the Ardennes, what would that gap between Menchov and Scleck really have looked like :D

Bravo Contador !!

Andy, what a TT!!

What a pity for Samuel Sánchez!!

AC has just been intervewed by the Spanish TV. I've NEVER seen him so exhausted. Looked as if he was going to faint!!

What a race... Congratulations, Alberto!

Hasn't AC announced earlier this year he intends to ride in next years Giro?? IF this is the case, what kind of form will he have next year.
