Come on Fanboy Nation, pony up a comment or two about his ride......that 30 seconds is pretty impressive, right?...........

I don't think he looked like he used to. He used to have a lot of snap in his legs when coming out of corners. He would sprint out of them to shave a fraction of a second off. Today it looked almost like he was just putting in a workman-like performance.

He never looked completely comfortable on the bike. And after the Versus Lance-a-thon, it is abundantly clear that despite his statements to the contrary he does not have the same form he had in 2003 or 2005. Four years is a long time.

Don't forget Mr. Martin of Columbia.
He's already on the raod.

Larsson and Leipheimer's times will be good indications on how LA's time was competitive.

BTW, I am glad I don't need to listen to Phil&Paul:rolleyes: Our russian commentator is just amazing. Never heard Bob Roll, but I guess he is also Lance-centric.

They are all waiting to see what happens. If Armstrong ends up with a good time then they be all over the forum like white on rice. If he does not do so good, which is what it currently looks like, then we won't hear a peep out of them.

I posted this before but no way do I see Wiggins beating Contador. Wiggens could not do that at the P-N when the course was short, flat, and perfectly suited for Wiggins.

Well...I started typing a response but just lost my eurosport feed. Damnit

Sh!t, had to switch back to Versus because the audio was not even close. I feel ill.

I don't think that time will stand long the way Martin is riding.

Oh well. Tony apparently just owned LA's time.

What would happen when big guns start? Cancellara and Conti can post sth like 11.10 on this climb.

Still LOL'ing at some of you guys.... You're really making my hangovers easier to cope:)

The young German is turning on a more than decent time (not surprising nonetheless), and Coppel is on his way to a great French start.

The HD is too nice for me to go hunting right now. I will just have to listen to Phil mis-identify everyone and Sherwin make painfully obvious and terribly uninsightful comments.....

Tony Martin will never become a great all rounder simply because he doesn't have a very interesting name. He needs to change it to something with a little more zest!

How 'bout Gerhardt Martin. Yeah...like that.

French tv prefer to show LA warming down than Leipwhiner on the course.
Sad.

How much time will Armstrong lose to AC? A minute? It seems possible now.

Have a question for you. I guess you and TFF came here from CF, and where is Crankyfeet? Always liked his postings, seems like he stopped posting on CF a year ago.

Cranky is back in Australia, and I keep up with him on Facebook but he doesn't post anywhere that I know of. Maybe justcycling
