Too many people with too much money invested in this team to get busted

Do you honestly think for one second the Murdoch is going to let anyone with the SKY name on them to get busted.

The UCI would be destroyed long before they even got close
Think about how powerful the murdoch media is and what they could do to anyone who went near sky

This is a media magnate that boasts of bringing down governments for christs sake

I don't know what to say.

Is there any clause in a Tour contract that can allow riders not to ride if they feel there is blatant cheating occurring on another team..? That would be a sight, every other team refusing to start the next day until Sky were thrown out of the race .... Oh, to dream...

I thought a lot of this too. But then everyone is dirty. But, really, who cares? Let's all get banned. At least make a statement that this has gone to an unseen level of ridiculousness that everyone else can only dream of achieving.
This is the one of the worst days in pro cycling.

Well, it would give Cookson a headache for sure... and the ASO, and, and and..... The issue is going to have to be addressed at some point about doping, salaries and team budget caps... if the UCI is serious about pro cycling to continue with the minimum 16 teams Cookson wants he's going to have to level the playing field as best he can, such outrageous performances as today will only suggest to potential and smaller existing team sponsors to roll up the tents and go home, the return for my 5-10 million euros investment just isn't there.... Potentially, pro cycling could have less than 6-8 teams, mostly state or country lottos like FDJ if budget caps aren't looked at.. ... Smaller budgets, smaller teams, shorter stages and discontinuing technology like race radios, televisions in cars and power meters...
I think when this Tour is over and the ASO and television stations paying for the broadcasting rights looks at the
viewing figures after this stage to the finish they might be in for a surprise ... there could be a significant downturn, why would anyone watch unless you're a rabid Sky fan or like looking at the French countryside...

Wikileaks: Mr. Cookson was spotted yesterday evening entering SKY bus with Mr. Brailsford. MI6 accidentally recorded the conversation (Murdoch empire investigation, phones constantly tapped):

Cookson: Please, please, don't do it. Don't do it tomorrow. I'll be ruined, fans will eat me alive. Please, at least not tomorrow. It's Bastille day, french press will go mad.
Brailsford: mhmmm

Yeah, check out Walsh's twitter. Fans giving it to him left and right. He is basically saying there is no reason he should think this is suspicious.

Seriously, this would be a good time for the riders to down tools the next stage, as a protest, or ride piano en masse and just let Sky get on with it and the whole team win by 30 minutes.... That would exacerbate the pure foolishness of that team... What could the UCI do ?

Re: Sky

regardless of ascent times etc, today was just a typical full-r post rest-day performance worthy of the dark ages relative to the other riders. He will be told to tone it down, probably 'bonk' a stage like in 2013. One thing is sure, they don't see the AFLD as any threat whatsoever.

Which Tour stage was it, when Froome won a mountain stage and RIchie Porte came in second? There was a lot of talk also then. Is there somewhere in clinic where this interesting news is discussed. Today on cyclingnews:

The Tour heads into the Pyrenees today, as the team prepares Froome for the inevitable doping questions he will likely face in the days ahead. Anticipating the criticism, Team Sky chose to gather data to back up their faith that the 2013 Tour champion is riding clean. The British team now believes the data files have been stolen in order to suggest Froome may be doping.

I would have thought the AFLD would jump on them if nothing else, for pure Gallic spite in retribution for the Battle of Waterloo...

Can fans or anyone do something to at least ask teams to consider this? A petition or something? I know it's not more than a kamikaze to expose themselves, but maybe some teams are crazy enough or frustrated enough... People will lose their jobs, but we've been naive enough all along.
