terror attack in London?

Very surprised this hasn't been posted yet:

A dramatic video tonight emerged of a man with bloodied hands, carrying knives and ranting 'We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you', after a serving soldier was hacked to death by two men just 200 yards from an Army barracks.

The man can be seen and heard talking to the camera. The video came as terrified eyewitnesses saw two men shot by police marksmen after the machete attack in Woolwich, south-east London.

The two men are thought to have waited around for 20 minutes until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and then tried to attack them - but were swiftly shot by armed policemen, including a woman.

They apparently shouted 'Allahu Akbar', which means 'God is great' in Arabic, and tried to film the attack, the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson said.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe tonight confirmed two men had been arrested and officers from the counter-terrorist unit were leading the investigation into the killing.

Cameron is more or less calling it a terrorist attack but it would make you wonder is it a cell of wider proportion or just two lunatics who had this idea for some time. It's hard to tell either way. Horrific attack and some of the eyewitness accounts are just terrifying to read.

Sounds like it was a random attack. They attacked the guy because he was wearing a t/shirt which had something about a returned soldiers charity on the front of it.

Yet another problem with Islamic extremists. On the news tonight there were 3 more stories with even greater consequences in France and ****stan. It's a daily occurrence somewhere in the world.

an innocent, unarmed, in his civil duties member of british military is brutally killed. clearly a senseless, terrorist act as the wrong-doers themselves took care to let us know...the outrage is real and justified.

how is it different from the slayed innocent, unarmed, in their civil duties hundreds and thousands of muslim children, and women (the collateral damage) by the west's military (of which the brits are the most zealous practitioners after the us) ?
all killed not by a primitive machetes, but by the latest western military gear in iraq, afghanistan, mali... from drones, aircraft, or by a deranged soldier wondering into a village on foot.

was that worth the outrage too ?

it sure was, but it did NOT happen in london or washington or paris.

could the woolrich london killing be called the collateral damage of the wests's misplaced actions in muslim countries or, for some, the neocolonialist policies ???

Dude, it's totally different. Those brown colored heathens deserve to spend generations under military occupation or Western supported dictatorships. The ones that object to their fates need to be taught a lesson. That is why our heroic pilots drop bombs from ten thousand feet on the cowardly evildoers, whose only chance of fighting back is a minor act of violence that barely registers in background mortality statistics.
