Boonen, Spilak, Kreuziger, Lulu, Voigt (now positive :)) and Nibali bring in a lot of points for this week. I should keep my place in the top 10 easily but unfortunately the lead (even for a week) seems out of reach : each time I have a rider that score semi-decent points, Mellow Velo has him too, it's just scary

Nah, I'm on my way out.
Boonan, Spilak, Nibali and Velits, plus a few points here and there is all I can manage. Regretting Kreuziger big time. I like him so didn't want to land him with my curse...........only it's not working this season.

About 215 points out of P-N is all, so far.

Man, I thought with Poels, Duarte, Kessiakoff, Bentacur, Landa and some other guys, I should get some decent points in TA. I expected at least Poels and Duarte to do a top 10 in the GC, and was hoping Kessiakoff could pull something off as wel. Only Poels seems to be anywhere near a top 10 spot though......

Landa or Bentacur or Duarte or somebody, please win tomorrows stage from a breakaway or something! :(

Well, a mixed bag. High hopes for Paris-Nice, and TJVG got 120 points for 5th, okay, but then it's just 28 points for LuisLe on GC and a bunch of 5 point participation marks. However, 3 stage wins from Larsson, Boonen and LuisLe aren't too bad, but it could have been alot better on GC. Kreuziger looks great in Tirreno, but my less popular pick Di Luca, despite looking great, fell behind today on a crash. Nevertheless, he or Velits could pick up a few GC places in the last 2 days... otherwise I'll have to hope for a break to go tomorrow with Battaglin, Costa, Landa and Talansky or something.

Fingers crossed for a good showing from Sacha Modolo at Milan-San Remo next Saturday, my most expensive/unique pick's biggest day of the spring.

I think Kreuziger's still a good pick - his price wasn't high, he's going to be the team leader in the major races, and he's doing two GTs this year (I think). Even if he doesn't win a lot, he should still make a reasonable profit. He looks to be on track for 200 points from this T-A at a minimum.

MV agrees with you; he's saying he regrets not picking him.

On another note, looks like no one really did that well in P-N overall. I said I was disappointed with just 5th and a few points for Sanchez, but not many people did better - a handful have Spilak (well, about 20-25 do), some Kiserlovski, but I think everyone's disappointment will be a bit muted when the results come out. It's possible that no one had a great week.

Yep think this is pretty much on the money. A quick look shows only one guy with Wiggins (adamski) so he'll be this week's top scorer I suspect. Will leave Hugo to do the update.

Update -- Week 10.

In what I believe is Hugo's continued absence, I have prepared another short update for this week. I emailed the spreadsheet to cqmanager, so it should be up on the website once he has a chance to update it.

Mellow Velo continues to lead, for the third week in a row. There were only two new entries into the top ten: skidmark and Squire, the former actually re-entering the top ten after a one-week absence. The two players leaving the top ten were Reuell, who slipped to 15th, and former leader Michele, who is in 17th. Squire had the most points this week, with 594, while Skibby the bush kangaroo and trotters aotearoa tied for the greatest jump in the standings, at 32 places each.

The Top Ten:

1(1) Mellow Velo 2836
2(5) EvansIsTheBest 2651
3(4) hrotha 2573
4(10) TeoSheva 2561
5(2) mc_mountain 2532
6(3) Timmy-loves-Rabo 2506
7(6) shalgo 2498
8(12) skidmark 2488
9(9) Lortnoc 2413
10(31) Squire 2395

Most Points This Week:

1. Squire 594
2. Skibby the bush kangaroo 566
3. trotters aotearoa 513
4. adamski101 503
5. Handbrake 481

Biggest Jumps up the Ranks:

1. Skibby the bush kangaroo +32
1. trotters aotearoa +32
3. taiwan +24
4. Handbrake +23
5. adamski101 +22
6. Swede1 +22

Yeah, EITB, you look like you have a good team for T-A, so depending on MSR you might be able to wrest that top spot from Mellow Velo... although he's got Nibali, and MSR is somewhat unpredictable with big points on offer.

As for me, presuming that Landa, Majka and Pozzato all make it through the 9.3km TT tomorrow and pick up their 5 participation points, I'll have all my riders scoring for the season, aside from one conspicuous Allan Davis-shaped hole. What the hell is up with that guy? I read he was targeting Milan-San Remo, but NOT riding either T-A or P-N is not a good way to prepare at all.

I've jumped 23 places :) but that only brings me to 85th  Not too bad considering I don't have Boonen..this year. Why didn't he perform last year when he was on my team. Just need another 3 weeks in a row like this to reach the top 20.

Kreuziger will score well for me this week along with 54 other teams. Hopefully many of them are behind me.

Oh yes! My first "stage win" in this game, and I'm back in the top 10. Great week!

Now Kreuziger, please wrestle that Tirreno win away from Horner...

Handbrake, I feel the same about Boonen. Don't know what I was thinking when I left him out. And when is Duarte ever gonna score big?
