Only two unique pick for me - Eibegger & Haig (I thought he would have been a popular pick with the Aussies). But I've got plenty of other uncommon picks to cheer for - Kritskiy, Pliuschin, Norris, Bolivar, Mansilla, Jaramillo, Bisolti, Vrecer.

should have done a reminder in the main section - will remedy. check out the new games from Armchair Cyclist - Emerging Riders and Career in Decline, you have a couple of weeks to enter for those.

How can i find out who my 10 unique riders are... that would be interesting.. I can guess at some of them but hoping there is a surprise in there..

if you ever want to see how well the team would have done with Majka in it, in the spreadsheet (due to be released soon) you can copy and paste his name from CQ (deleting the space at the end) over the rider you want to replace, and it will pull his score through. you can have fun rocketing up the table (as i did last year when i replaced strongly considered Quintana and Ciolek for poorly performing Evans and Lutsenko - just these two changes would have got me ~top10*)

*i guess similar changes would have propelled many other teams to similar heights.

This is no fun... Kept all the teams I picked and reworked last year and checked their score throughout the year. Turn out that the first team I picked without even thinking about value scored highest (Top5) and the one I submitted (doing all the ifs and whens + calculating estimated scores and stuff) was second to last (out of 5).

Off to a terrible start.

Gavazzi my unique pick has apparently handed back his contract from Androni, while Hepburn who I had in my team last year but wasn't chosen this time around due to the uncertainty of his focus (Track or road) declares he will devote the whole year to the Road and then goes on and wins the National TTs.

I had the same thoughts about Hepburn but luckily decided to keep him in my team again this year. I figured with there being a non Olympic year he had to make the switch sooner or later and he can't really wait until after Rio. So glad he will be riding road all year. Now I just need him to get 7th or high on Sunday and he will be into profit

No I swapped around in the very last minute! He was in my team until the final selection! It was just a matter of getting all my CQ points used, because I actually rate his skills a lot.

I have him in the youth game though! Great prospect! Hope he brings you joy!

No unique picks again. At least I have some guys that are less common picks, and am much lower on the popularity ranking this year. And the two main guys I had hopes would be unique were only selected by a couple other teams, so that's not too bad.

So eventual winner Skidmark well placed (Kvinto was second, FF'Wilco 4th, shalgo 9th and hitch just outside the top 10.

This makes it the third year in row that I am in the top ten in terms of having the most common picks. I didn't think I was so unoriginal. Oh well, it worked out well in 2012 (though less so last year), so perhaps I will have another go at the top ten.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out. My goal was to have a very unique team but I understood that in order to be competitive in this game I have to have some of those "must have" picks so I decided that I will select 10 riders I expected to be very popular and fill the rest of the team with "not so popular/obvious" riders. I think I accomplished that.

By third year in a row, I meant 2012, 2013, and this year. I didn't play in 2011 and I don't know if anyone put together a comparable list that year. Maybe someone still has a spreadsheet saved from that year and could generate the commonality rankings now.
