I have been slightly dissapointed with the ToB this year I must admit. I hope today springs some excitement over the day.

I think a lot of people turned up to ride and not to race.

Aye and this is after the last two years of the organisers saying the ToB is a great warmup race before the Worlds.

I don't agree .... nothing but moaning on thsi thread

SKY are racing, EQS are racing. BMC are racing...Movistar have been n the break alot though missed stage 2

You underestimate how hard the race has been... Monday and Wednesday stages had more climbing than a Vuelta stage and nearly as long as an Ardennes race

Plus with only 6 man teams...I keep pointing out what that does to a hard stage race ....

It just encourages people to come and use it to ride into form, rather than come and compete.

2300m for Monday and 2800m Wednesday. The WT guys should eat this for Breakfast.

I agree the 6 man teams dont help, but some of it has been dull as dishwater. The finish yesterday was mint like, apart from that boring. Maybe saving their powder for today like.

I thought OnePro would have been more active like last year but not much.

I think the worlds being a lot later this year means several riders have a quieter build-up. Over the past few years many riders have arrived at this race in decent form as there have only been 2 weeks from the final stage to the Worlds.

I agree, yes, maybe I was being harsh. I was watching that one live so missed the highlights on it apart from last few kms. Watched it on a big screen in Keswick and the Struggle onwards was v exciting.

/edit. Last season OnePro, Madisson & JLT gave great accounts of themselves and Raleigh were poor and didnt. This season I think like you say they have found it very tough.
