Dumoulin is the key to the race - Stay close enough GC and then win the TT - Though I have my doubts.

I don't know that du Moulin is a minute better than Cummings over a fairly straightforward 15km ITT. Assuming Cummings can climb as well as Tom/Gallopin/Roche/Dennis in the remaining road stages, of course.

It's a wide open race - Will be more time gaps in stage 4 - And its proven a tough race to control so far - Though the rolling British terrains makes this so.

Today's stage showed the folly of 6 riders teams in a week stage race - Especially one on difficult terrain.

This field is quite weak and heterogeneous - I would not extrapolate too much.

Break tomorrow will be Iziguerre, Moinard, Boem, Langveld, Nizzolo and a random rider from a British team.

From the ToB ticker:

4 riders in break: Tonelli @Bardiani_CSF, Holmes @MadisonGenesis, Partridge @NFTO & Benito Diez @CajaRural_RGA #tob2016

They have 4 minutes.

Roche and Meurisse continue there battle for KoM points, Roche pulling back 1pt on the first climb, think that puts them level again.

Peloton's lack of desire to chase is ridiculous ...What about Lotto or OBE...or indee Lotto NLJ

What is wrong with these guys ...do they not want a stage win

If I was Tony Martin I'd be well pi**ed

Lotto have a stage win and Greipel was in the break yesterday so I can understand them not riding. Other teams should of course but there will be tired riders from yesterday and they will be worried about tomorrow's stage.

Yep, general opinion is tomorrow's stage will be brutal, much harder than the profile suggests and up and down all day. Stannard said before the stage start today he'd go in the break as he knew there was a big chance nobody would chase.

Is this the brutal stage you were talking about?

They've definitely taken it easy so far, it's the riders that make the racing after all.

From around 65k's to go it gets lumpy. Short and sharp climbs for around 40k's, Hopefully we see some action.

Shame that break of Roche, Gallopin, Martin ect didn't want to work together. Started to get really strung out for a while but back to around 35/40 riders.

Very technical final 600m with 4 90 degree corners. Could be messy with 40 riders in that group.

Swift and Van Poppel still there for Sky, so is Greipel who's made it back in.

Well according to Hugh Porter the top placed Ettix rider is Dan Martin.

I'm watching on BiKe as I can't stand Porter. Plus OJ Borg and Rob Hayles have been a good laugh this week.
