Brown was the second best rider on Corkscrew in TDU and has proven herself to be pretty good on these kind of hills in LBL as well, so I don't think it was a certainty that she would struggle that much today. Especially not in a field that wasn't exactly the cream of the crop.

Climbs in LBL are longer and have steadier gradients - While today they had two ascents of Challember as opposed to the one steep climb in the two stages of the TDU.

Still it was quite clear that Brown had a bad day. Both she and Adegeest said so, and she wouldn't have finished 21st otherwise in this field.

Would be cool if there was a full startlist for UAE yet.

Our next race is actually Omloop. I think FirstCycling has a full startlist up for UAE, if you're still interested, and it looks like it could become a good race.

I am surprised that Spratt is not at the UAE Tour - The way she was climbing at the TDU would just baout make her favorite for GC.

Annemiek van Vleuten, and I was close to picking Bastianelli to have two retiring riders, but I'm not sure she has the form to achieve another top result here, so I'm going with Eleonora Gasparrini instead.

@Libertine Seguros, I'll put you down for Demi and Cille/Kasia, if I don't here anything else
@Gwbert, I'll pick two random riders for you
