Has anyone ever tried making an anti-CQ manager team? One where you try to pick riders who you think will under perform in the coming year so you want them to score as few points as possible.

There would have to be a very strict set of rules I imagine otherwise you just pick retired riders. So lets say if a rider retires then their score is automatically doubled just as a disincentive. I would also put the budget of the team to 15000 points since ideally you want to start higher to go low.

I'll think I'll try putting a team together to see how hard it is.

So schedule of Bisiaux is out:
06.04 Itzulia Basque Country
17.04 Classic Grand Besançon Doubs
18.04 Tour du Jura Cycliste
01.05 Eschborn-Frankfurt
07.06 Tour Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes
01.08 DSSK (Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa)
04.08 Vuelta a Burgos
22.08 La Vuelta Ciclista a España

Again a pretty late start to the season, which was known.
So my second pick together with Nys, where I will not get any points from the first three month of the game.

I like the two french races in april in his schedule and hope, that the Tour Auvergne (Dauphine) will not be the only race between Eschborn and Burgos...

Have to say I really enjoyed the carreer in decline game. Can't believe it's over ten years ago.
I ran it twice: 2014 and 2015 (Ingsve, who asked whether such a thing had ever happened, was on the podium in the first edition) 15 riders, 5000 points, and penalised pro-rata for riders that raced fewer than 20 days. One manager in each edition actually managed to get a team that made a net gain.

It was a lot of work because it necessitated checking that riders had done more than a minimum number of days, which was very much non-automated. I think I found it more interesting in principle than in the execution.

Also, by 2016 there were three rounds of the Emerging Riders' game going.

Talking of the Emerging Riders' game: Monday night people...
