Beginning to get a bit worried about Brenner. Third consecutive DNF, and maybe his injury issues have returned? Vansevant, Verstrynge and Kron might get some minor placing/stage points at Itzulia, but wasn't expecting much more.

Good news is that all my team have managed to swerve Schelderprijs, so don't have to watch it.
Brenner had a nasty crash in Itzulia so it might rather be new injuries rather than old.

My team is starting to go very sideways with both Brenner crashing right before the Ardennes, Landa crashing hard and Tiberi's form is nowhere to be seen since Tirreno - Adriatico.

And at the same time other riders that I missed out on are starting to score points as well so I fear I'll be dropping like a stone in the ranks.

according to local press, Brenner abandoned Indurain to save himself for Basque Country, and also Alaphilippe said that he was supposed to be Tudor's GC guy for the week. So yeah, wouldn't think that there is any underlying problem.

Part of why I didn't pick him was his stated lack of confidence on descents after his Giro crash. Let's hope that wasn't a factor here though, or that this new crash will affect him. I hope he finds more innocent ways of not scoring too many points. Would still have him on my team if it was offered now though. He has looked pretty good this year and will have more opportunities.

Doesn't anything above 100% mean into profit?
I wasn't contradicting you. But merely into profit is just halfway there. My benchmark is for riders to at least double their cost so passing 200% and for cheap riders you want even more than that as well but 260% at this point is at least a passing grade for the year.

But doubling is a big ask for a more expensive pick; I tend to think of 200 point profit as representing a worthwhile pick: would make for a season score of 14,100 if everyone achieves it.

Regretting not picking L'Hote right about now. I wonder where RedheadDane would be if their theme had been young Frenchmen. Seixas and Grisel would be decent one two punch and I expect Decomble and Sparfel to get going soon as well.

Gutted I couldn't watch L'Hote's win today, as that would have been a peak CQ game experience. Madly cheering on a rider you know little about, in a regional French race.

In the perspective of 2026 though, he's just scored more than my entire team, bar Sexias, have in Catalunya and Itzulia combined.

Well, my philosophy is that the riders should at least have the reasonable possibility of doubling their points. If a rider has a career high of 800 and they cost 600 then I'm not picking them unless there is some reason to think they can have the year of their life and get 1200 points somehow which is almost impossible to expect.

You stick to this podium place Lipo! Hang on!

(Btw, don't listen to these *** couch DS on this forum.)

(And don't bully Paul, remember, you are on the same team.)

From the team reveal discussions in January:
Getting more and more worried about not picking L'Hote. As I've mentioned, I like the look of him as a Decathlon French cup guy and even for stage races like Limousin potentially, if he takes a step up.

Itzulia has been a disaster class other than Seixas.

Van Wilder and Tiberi both 20+ minutes down on GC in a race with the likes of Baudin, Tejada and Champoussin around the top ten is an epic fail.

Pelayo Sanchez on the startlist for Asturias!

It is his home race, but not knowing his current level, I'd rather see him do a WT race where he only has to make it to the finish to get some points. I've said that about Jakobsen, too, and that hasn't worked out.

Jakobsen finished the UAE Tour. Brilliant season so far, already 45% into profit.
