Deadline was probably the wrong word, I mean when does the next season start and this one ends ? Is it already over ?

I know “winning” this title is a booby prize, but for GT riders like Vlasov or Landa, who mainly will be competitive only in the mtn or hilly courses of stage races, 25 top tens is still kind of impressive.

Congratulations to Vlasov but Max Kanter with 17 again is most impressive for me.

His record now:
2016: 5
2017: 2
2018: 9
2019: 3
2020: 6
2021: 9
2022: 29
2023: 17

He has a career-record over 8 years with 80 top-10-finishes without a win on pro-level. That kid is special.
That is indeed remarkable.

Inspired by this I wonder if anyone has ever gone 100+ top 10 finishes between wins. It would be unique I reckon as it would need about 5-7 seasons of consistently strong results but without ever breaking through and crossing the line first.

Caruso comes very close with 96 (if I can count correctly at this hour).

Capiot only took it to 85, I thought he would have been closer.

Another 7th for Kanter today. Astana are doing the Surf Coast Classic too, so he should be at 5 or 6 depending on whether he makes it over the hills in CEGORR by the time he leaves Australia. Impressive stuff - he could end up leading this one from start to finish...
