Almost all the new bikes at a mid range level are a bit of a bargin. Ultegra 10 speed bikes for 2k!!! Its crazy.
the only bigger bargains are the top range bikes from this era. My cannondale caad4 with ksyrium sl's and full Dura ace in perfect condition for 600. Still very racable and kinda retro cool.
The real bargins for both bike and gear are in the mid range. If your ego can afford it you can gets some great stuff for nothing.

gregod said:i am a lousy bargain hunter, but i bought a pair of neoprene work gloves for the equivalent of about $8. they keep my hands nice and toasty even when my hands sweat. they look great, too. i have been using them for about 6 winters.
mr. tibbs said:So Competitive Cyclist has PRO3 Race clinchers for $30/each. I was always a big fan of the PRO2 tires, but I had terrible luck with destroying the PRO3s. After going through several in a couple of months, I jumped ship.
The PRO3s (in my experience) aren't worth $60, but are they worth $30? Ugh. I think they may be, and I'm seeing some side wall wear on my current rear tire. Blow-out inevitable. But I hate to put on tires that I fear are unreliable--especially in crazy spring weather!
What are your thoughts? Good deal? Not worth it?
marathon marke said:A lot of people seem to complain about the Pro 3s, but I've had extremely good luck with them. Granted, I use them as they were designed to be used, a race tire. I don't use them for training. They are the best clinchers I've ever used for handling and for grip. Sure, they don't last long, but as I said, it's a race tire. And if you want a great deal on these, here you go. I just ordered 6 of them myself. $25 a pop.
