Who do you think is the best rider and the worst rider to have won THE TDF only once?. This is for THE TDF after the 2nd WW, considering only their exploits in the 3 GT'S.

EDIT: Who was not handed a win after the events.

Best: Evans, Ullrich, Pantani, Maybe Sastre (has a good record in GT's).

Worst: Wiggins.

I laugh at those who say that Wiggin's is the worse, he has two more GT podiums, I suspect it is some bias effecting judgement :D

The parcours suited his strengths perfectly (TT heavy, weak on mountains), the competition was lacking, and he's done horribly this year and doesn't even look like he'll ever ride a GT again. How can he not be included as one of the worst?

Who do you think is the worst or best for that matter?

Lucien Aimar, 1966 TDF winner. Only managed to finish 6th and 7th afterwards. For the best, Ullrich, no doubt.

I dont know who the worse is and don't care (from the records you might say Roger Walkowiak), perhaps the best for one win might be Evans.

Worst undoubtedly Walkiwiak in ninteen fifty six; He raced the Tour six times winning once and other than that his best result was 47th.

Best is between Zoetemelk and Pantani and Ullrich. I'll go with Zoetemelk because he was such a legend.

I wasn't around for it but judged on the stats it has to Walkiwiak for worst, Wiggins at least had another 4th place in the Tour and would have been close in '11 had he not crashed.
