He doped with dynepo (probably from Humanplasma, Wienna) in 2007, but it was tested with non authorised test, so, oficially, he is "clean" (besides hiding from the UCI controlls). As they tested Dekker's samples and found it positvie for Dynepo, they could test any other Rasmussen samples from Tour 2007 and they will be positive as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynepo

So he is clean like Lance is clean? Never a positive test that counts as a positive test?

His ban is done this weekend i think, but does he not have to pay a years salary till before he can get a licence back, or get his lawyers to fiddle a way out of this. Maybe this was sorted allready, infact has anyone paid back the salaray when theye come back? well depending on what year this law was introduced rassmussen might be teh first guy to make a comeback with this rule, I can´t remember.

I look forward to seeing him back, does anyone know if he´s been keeping himself in good condition, it would be interesting to see him and vinokourov at the vuelta:S. I doubt rasmussen will be very good though, he must be really old now, but i think he has another mountains jerey left in him.

Michael Rasmussen contacted Ivano Fanini of Amore & Vita to ask for a spot on the team, just like the rest of the squad, which is made up of former dopers who came clean.

Fanini's response, being just about the most staunch fighter of doping around, is that chicken has a spot on the team as long as he does the same as everyone else on the squad: reveals all he knows about his past and organized doping and takes his suspension if one is forthcoming.

So we can have chicken riding for Fanini soon. Whoever would've guessed

They have video of him being in Italy at the time when he said he was in Mexico instead?

I'm not sure what you mean.

If I remember correctly, Rasmussen was booted out because he was not where he said he was and missed doping controls. He was probably off somewhere boning some bimbo. For this he served two years.

His team probable said; Ras - if you can get lucky go for it.

I say; Welcome back & Good Luck -

That said he will likely have a hard time finding a good team

He filed all the whereabouts papers for doping controls saying he'd be in Mexico with his mexican wife.

All the while he was training in northern Italy, in the typical black training equipment of someone who doesn't want to be recognised. This way, he could dope at will during his training regimen and never be caught.

Unlucky for him, he was spotted by former pro Davide Cassani.
