Should probably just wait and copy Ferminal... :p

My bets

Rojas over Davis
Vigano over Cooke
Double of the above

Gerrans over Ballan

Today:

Goss over Swift x Rojas over Cooke @ 2.24
Feillu over Davis @ 1.62

Matthews over Swift @ 1.71
Galimzyanov over Davis @ 2.25

There nothing I really like today, it should be a bunch sprint but a lot of the H2Hs are too hard to find a definitive winner.

I have a tiny bet on Meyer over Ballan @ 2.75, if Ballan attacks earlier in the stage he could fade.

Ballan riding conservatively to secure 11th on GC

Anyway, very good week to start the season...

54% return if Meyer wins or 35% if Goss wins.

I'm sitting on some big wins if Goss manages to win or Bobridge manages to finish (ahead of Armstrong) but tempted to lose these paper wins on St6:

B365

Stage 6 Outright Book Closes 23 Jan 00:30
Each-way 1/4 1-2-3
Andre Greipel 2.80 Mathew Goss 3.50
Tyler Farrar 13.00 Mark Cavendish 13.00
Francesco Chicchi 13.00 Robbie McEwen 15.00
Michael Matthews 17.00 Ben Swift 21.00
25/1 bar

H2H
Mathew Goss 2.00 Andre Greipel 1.71
Mathew Goss 1.33 Michael Matthews 3.00
Robbie McEwen 2.80 Andre Greipel 1.38
Jonathan Cantwell 1.71 Kristof Goddaert 2.00
Cameron Meyer 1.57 Laurens Ten Dam 2.25
Denis Galimzyanov 1.83 Elia Viviani 1.83
Ben Swift 1.71 Francisco Ventoso 2.00
Gorka Izagirre 1.83 Biel Kadri 1.83
Alessandro Ballan 1.83 Manuelle Mori 1.83
Jose Ivan Gutierrez 2.00 Ivan Velasco 1.71
Francesco Reda 2.00 Mirko Selvaggi 1.71
Nikolai Trussov 2.10 Fabio Sabatini 1.66
Francesco Chicchi 1.40 Aleksander Kristoff 2.75
Nicki Sorensen 1.83 Cameron Wurf 1.83

Why are they supporting Greipel ahead of Goss?

I'll be checking on Twitter as Aus wakes up to see if there is anything to glean and will post here

for tomorrow i have:

tyler farrar for the win @21.00(sportingbet)

Cameron Meyer over Laurens Ten Dam 1.57 (bet365)
Robbie McEwen over Ben Swift 1.85 (sportingbet)

unfortunately i forgot to post my bets these last days.there weren't great but if goss manages to stay in top3 it's all good.i had him at 2.50 which was just easy money.

Totally agree with you - I'm on Goss at evens and considering going in again.
Goss will be giving it 100% - he needs to win. Greipel isn't really fighting for anything other than pride and if he gets boxed in by HTC (not the most outlandish possibility) he may just put the brakes on.

Small bet on Graeme Brown e/w @ 40/1 and thinking of doing Farrar top 3 @ 4.0

Will have another look at H2H but may leave it at that.

Edit - Just done Brown over Davis @ 11/10.

(there were some Bet365 odds on st 6 - see my previous post - not sure how long they were up for though)

I chose not to back Goss H2H over Greipel in the end.

A smallish profit for me overall after early each-way bet on Goss at 23 and Bobridge H2H over Armstrong at 2. Shame Goss couldn't have got those extra 2 seconds!

Looking forward to the classics next....

I think they had the timing incorrect - only had them up until 00:30 (UK time) but today's stage started a few hours later.

It's good that there are a few of us posting our bets here for one of the minor races - it could be worth keeping track of which bookies offer odds.

For the TDU I noticed the below offering odds

Centrebet
Unibet
Bet365
Paddypower
Stanjames
Sportingbet
Pinnacle (just H2H)
Bet24 (just H2H)

Possibly a few more - any else??

Expekt had some odds also, hopefully they will continue the rest of the season.

Otherwice bet365 has the by far best cyclingproduct (and also had it this time despite releasing their stageodds a bit late for this race) and most of the others mostly have copyes, worst of all pinnacle, that only has copies mostly from bet365. But also Unibet, Sportingbet, Paddypower and Bet24 normaly have plenty of unique cyclingodds. Too bad though that most of these bookies with unique odds have either very low or ridiculous limits.

So a bookie that copy's the bets and delivers them with much better odds is for you the worst bookie

betclic, victor chandler, ladbrokes, skybet, sportingbet australia and willhill offered odds for a couple of stages as well

in regards of odds and limits I agree that pinnacle is a very worthy bookie for cycling betting, at least if they bring out the odds early enough to allow the limits to grow to a reasonable amount (as they start with ~70 EUR and grow upto ~800 if there is enough time in between)

TdF**

There was nothing for Stage 6 I don't think. They only had the TdU bets up for a few hours before the stage start.

Yeah TDF, thanks. :D

Guess I'll have to be more vigilant in watching the cycling page. An alert wouldn't be a bad idea.

I have a cycling oddschecker as my homepage, that works pretty well.

Pinnacle wait to copy until the odds have settled so the best odds will normaly always come from the original odds (the way cycling odds are slashed very quickly), and besides I would definetly prefer more unique odds than more copies despite higher odds. Only good thing about copies though is that it helps a bit on the generel limitproblems.

Also if Pinnacale copied someone like Sportingbet or Bet24 that has many odds and makes tons of errors instead of the companies with the in my opinion best compilers Bet365 and Nordicbet they would be a lot more usefull.

ToQ St1 h2h at b365:

Andrea Guardini 2.25 Theo Bos 1.57
Danilo Hondo 2.25 Danielle Bennati 1.57
Kenny Van Hummel 1.71 Denis Galimzyanov 2
Lars Boom 1.45 Juan Antonio Flecha 2.6
Mark Cavendish 1.5 Francesco Chicchi 2.5
Michael Van Staeyen 1.66 Aleksander Kristoff 2.1
Mirco Lorenzetto 2.2 William Bonnet 1.61
Oscar Gatto 1.66 Graeme Brown 2.1
Roger Kluge 1.62 Roger Hammond 2.15
Tom Boonen 1.4 Heinrich Haussler 2.75
Tomas Vaitkus 1.83 Tom Veelers 1.83

Stand outs:
Chicchi vs Cav at 2.5 - Cav doesn't look on good form, bad crash today and team will now be behind Renshaw.
Flecha vs Boom at 2.6 - Flecha on good form and better sprinter, and will be looking for bonuses to push for podium spot.

Or am I missing something?
