The Ugly - Doping

Can't argue with that one really.

The Bad could be Pat McQuaid though.

I remember Robert Millar done one of these in his retirement piece in Cycle Sport magazine back around 96. Millar was indeed strange but I really liked his humour, he was very funny. These were his choices and comments on each rider:

The Good: Greg LeMond, the John Wayne of cycling
The Bad: Bernard Hinault, 666 tatooed on his forehead when he raced
The Ugly: Jean Philipe Vandenbrande, Belgian rider who scored a number of top 10 placings in classics in the 80s but no one dared to watch.

LeMond, the John Wayne of cycling!!! love it, says it all really

My own choices
The good: Exciting racing between loads of guys on mountain stages.
The Bad: Everything connected with the L circus.
The ugly: With Dim on this, doping

fun one :)

the good - april classics. especially the flanders atmosphere.

the bad - specialsm. man, what i would give to see the big guns battle it out from march to october again.

the ugly - july. loudmouthed people who only follow cycling one race a year pop up everywhere. annual media doping frenzy. etc. etc. too bad there's also an awesome race that month every year.

The good - all road racing and particularly the tours.

The bad - those who can only get pleasure in posting adverse and derogatory comments about some of the riders.

The Ugly - Doping

The good: Professional cycling on the television instead of bullriding.

The bad: Doping taking and talking....tired of it, all of it.

The ugly: Cycling fans (American mainly) who think they are cooler, better, more informed because they like Euro riders and try to prove that fact by instantly calling people fanboys, three week fans, one post wonders, etc. and then blab on about the Vuelta, spring classics, monuments, lesser races that they believe nobody else knows about. Shut your cakehole and enjoy the racing.

Good: Being in trouble on a climb and realising you still have a gear left

Bad: Being in trouble on a climb and realising you don't have a gear left

Ugly: Realising as you turn for home that you've just had a howling wind at your back for the last 50 miles

The good: the sport of bicycle racing

The bad: Drs. Ferrari & Conconi, and every piece of **** team "doctor" and DS that has poisoned the sport.

The Ugly: middle-aged fans who use the word "hater" like they're a 19 year-old, have never ridden a bike, and never heard of the sport before 2000.

Had an experience with just to opposite conditions. Doing a century on mostly rolling terrain, the headwind on the way out masked the fact that it was hot, Hot, HOT! The tailwind on the fifty on the way back meant NO BREEZE on a 98F day.
