Someone like Meintjes could be a decent climbing dom. He can live with a strong enough pace and could have him before Landa in a train. Id probably go him over Bennett. Likes of Konrad, De La Cruz, Kudus, Verona and Muhlberger would also be good options.

I would imagine Louis is not a cheap rider to contract though. But he's exactly the right profile for a super dom on the Tour.

Mentjes just signed a contract extension with Wanty.

The QS best option is to sign Landa + maybe someone like Bennett or Konrad and then focus to develop the younger guys. Van Welder + vansevenant for support remco. They spend too much time signing random guys who are out of contract and not developing their youth guys like Jumbo/uae/ineos

Like a lot of careers the last few years sadly, see a lot of questions about the possible Bennett transfer but he got hit by a lot of bad luck the last 2 years too.

Meintjes and similar riders (G. Martin) who can Top 10 a GT at a smaller team shouldn't settle for domestique duty on a bigger team. Just my .02. Of course they have the right to go where the money is.

I think they're still working on it, but nothing sure, the tide is steady, no team has an advantage on the other yet. there's still the Vuelta to be raced. we'll knw more about Ineos by the first week of October

they can or cannot get Remco. but they will try, and they ARE trying. it depends on the legal and economical matters between the 2 teams and sponsors.

I think developing the younger guys and supporting Remco with strong talent now can both be done. If Remco is targeting the Giro or Tour, you'd ideally have 3 climbing doms, 2 guys for the flat and 2 who can combine across both. You can probably run something like Remco, Landa, Van Wilder, new signing, Cattaneo, new signing, Lampaert and Asgreen I think.

You can probably do ok if Remco gets a GT without a Pog or Vingegaard but need strength around you if up against them.

In a way you need stronger team if Vingegacar isn’t there. Jumbo/UAE are alway going to take control of the race and if QS takes over then Jumbo doms will only be happy to get a half day off. And Lefevre won’t find someone strong enough to limit Remco’s loss to Vibgegaard or pogi if they puts down the hammer.

On the other hand if Remco is doing Giro against 10 Mas, Carapaz, Thomas, Ayuso guys; Remco needs that control.
