Ayco Bastiaens (27) from Alpecin Devo to QuickStep.

Even tho he'll be nothing more than a domestique, I have no clue what the Wolfpack sees in him. I don't mean that in a harsh way, but there is no result or performance coming to mind that validates this transfer.

Unless it's also for their development team.
And any incoming transfer to Soudal QS, Ineos or IPT also muddies the waters in terms of what might, or mightn't, be happening about team mergers. I think that brings it to 59 riders between the three teams for 2024 (or is that 59 riders across 2 teams???)

I'm looking at the list of riders with contracts with Israel for 2024 and I really don't see anything unusual in terms of quantity of pure sprinters. Yes, on paper there are a few guys capable of pulling up a good sprint but I believe some of them will be on domestique duties a lot of the time.

Well, if you count the neo-pros, then you're probably right. Though apart from Ackermann and Vernon I don't think any of them will have ambitions to consistently ride for themselves in any races of significance. Hofstetter maybe, but that's assuming he is in his pre-2022 form and not the 2022 one.

"Ryan Mullen looks set to extend his contract with Bora-hansgrohe for another two years. No official word at this point."

That would be a huge surprise... so Bennett is without his chosen domestique. But great news for whoever will be the last man behind the Mullen/van Poppel duo.

Curious on why the didn't communicate Welsford yet at Bora. Same for some of the possible extensions (e.g. I can't see them let Koch go).

It would be also only logical for Brenner to go to Bora after his fall out with DSM, but I didn't read something there yet.

All other rumours came true (Sobbrero, Martinez, Adria) - I don't remember any other possible addition there.

I'm still watching Steinhauser to Bora, as his contract isn't known to be extended yet at EF an dhe had the best season of the young germans.

Welsford, Brenner, Steinhauser + extensions for Aleotti, Benedetti, Mullen and Wandahl. That would be a great transfer window for Bora. One that could set them on track to come back from the weaker 2023 season.

And here you go, how to properly post that a team has announced a new signing:

So who's signing Dominika Włodarczyk? She needs a contract at the higher level now. She's not quite been as dominant in the Central European races as Skalniak-Sójka was, but she's also five years younger. She's winning flat sprints, uphill sprints, ITTs and intermediate stages, and has clearly outgrown the level she's racing at.

Tim Declercq replacement, he has a similar profile and cheaper.
They may have similar profiles but Declerq was way more accomplished rider when he was signing with Quick-Step. He had scored something like 500 PCS points by that time, while Bastianes has just 5 PCS points at 27 years old. In fact, I don't recall another instance of a top team hiring a rider of this age and with these few PCS points.

Canyon SRAM would be the obvious destination, but I'm not sure whether they have an open spot or not, But surely she'll have/get WWT offers.

Tiffany Cromwell hasnt re-signed yet, nor has Paladin, Roy, Morrice, Rooijakkers even with the currently suspended Shari Bossuyt, theyve only got 10 riders announced for 2024 so far.

they can promote a couple from generation, and there will be the Zwift winner, but still feels like they need to sign someone...soon.

In his defense, he's always been a late-bloomer and Covid nearly forced him to call it quits.
I remember him being a soiid domestique in last year's Tour of Turkey. If he can do what he did there in Belgian one-day's and a couple of WT-stage races QS will be very happy. He'll probably be on the lowest salary of the entire team whilst he's not that much worse as some other WT-workhorses.

This is the type of rider Jayco Alula should be targetting to strengthen their weak squad.
