These new signings probably settle his departure. Same for Vandenbergh.Isn’t he leaving?

Yeah, on paper. QuickStep have the magic touch.AG2R team for Classics is insane...GVA, Naesen, Vandenbergh, Dillier, Schar and also Cosnefroy will be good for races such as Flanders. If they sign Jungels, I think they will match QuickStep. At least on paper...
Looks very much like QuickStep are becoming a GC team. Classics will probably become secondary, weird as that sounds.
Mitchelton wanted to put more focus on the Australian market, and then allows Berwick to sign with Israel. Weird, sort of. The options aren't unlimited, and I can only think of Drizzners and Plapp as alternatives.
He did win San Sebastian last year? RememberThey can be both I think. This weekend maybe we'll see a glimpse if Evenepoel is as much of a classics threat as a stage racer and regardless he's clearly not a 2-races-a-year kind of guy. There should be plenty of space on the roster for other interests.
Iván García Cortina has confirmed he will be leaving Bahrain at the end of the season. Only rumors of where he may sign.
His prospects at Movistar are being a workhorse at the GTs, forget about stage hunting and ride the classics unassisted. He might become the next Erviti. Now this is a great pickup for Movistar. Cortina specializes in one day classics but is versatile and strong enough to be excellent help in GTs.

I am aware of his potential on the cobbles, and having him for those races is a huge improvement on what they've been sending in recent years. The only riders with some valuable experience in those races they have now are Roelandts and Erviti, both +35 years old. Other than those, the only rouleurs in their roster with the engine to offer real help are Oliveira and Soler. But I don't see Movistar sending Soler to the cobbles systematically, and Soler going there in a helper role.Lol, to help whom?
This is one of the best cobbles prospects in the current young generation and even Movistar have realised that those races have merits. Also, I doubt Cortina would trade the oil money from Bahrain to become a helper at Movistar...

I'd like to be proven wrong, but unless Movistar surprise with one or two more hirings in that direction or find some hidden talent in their most recent young acquisitions, Cortina will be mostly on his own in the cobbled races.
Would be typical for Movistar to not send their best rider to any GT.Looks like Movistar may be signing the top climber on the market for next year. Unfortunately it won't help them in GTs at all.

Which race?I would have given a like, had it not been for the cage fight.
Strava told us that only the front group rode the final part of the race faster than Van Vleuten. I think she could be an asset in the Tour...
Strade. Only Van Aert and Bookwalter, of the male riders who uploaded their data to strava, were faster the last 25km. She was faster than GVA, Pogchamp, Kwiat,... Obviously it's hard to compare 2 different races and nr 2-5 didn't upload their data, but it's still quite impressive.Which race?
In all seriousness, from an ability POV she could possibly ride as a domestique for a men's Conti team.I say try to get an exception and send her.
