Interesting to see what happens with Sivatkov, his contract is up and the opportunities at Ineos aren't gonna get more, with all the incoming talent.

He lead Sky in the Giro last year and was nominally riding the Tour this year as Ineos’ second (or perhaps third) GC-option. Riki and A.Yates are new editions since then, but Froome is going and G is waning. Management has shown he’ll be given ample opportunity to prove himself, don’t see why he would leave now. Sosa and Tao much more in a position where they need to consider leaving to evolve as GT-leaders.

Sivakov will most likely not be granted a right to prepare himself for a Giro or Tour as a designated leader, he'll most likely only be considered a co-leader if he shows something extraordinary in the preparation races (or if someone misses the race due to injury like Bernal did with the Giro last year), which adds additional pressure to him and risk to mistime his peak form. If someone can come up with an offer competitive financially and guaranteed leadership, it might be tempting.

They have 25 riders under contract and Denk has said before that he won't necessarily go to the max rider limit just to fill up his squad.

My guess is 3 austrians + Drucker

Fair points on the pool of GT-talent for next year. Bernal is tier 1, Carapaz/Yates/Sivakov tier 2 and G tier 3 in my book.

Sivakov is 23, at the team with the biggest budget and best track record at GTs the last five years. Granted kids are breaking through younger these days and other teams are catching up - but the sensible choice is to extend for two years to reassess in 2022.

Good move for both parties. He'll probably get a go at a few classics then a break to try and qualify for the Olympics MTB. Then back to win the Worlds

Rumour has it that he's going to Bora, as their guy for the Giro. With Majka leaving (apparently to UAE as a superdomestique for Pogi) they need another gc rider for the other gts, cause the Germans are all about the Tour...

The 21-year-old, a junior and U23 world champion in cyclocross, won the U23 or ‘Baby’ Giro d’Italia earlier this month, and despite his tender age will lead Britain’s elite men’s team at this week’s UCI Road World Championships in Imola.

Brailsford is also trying to tie up a deal for Dani Martínez [EF Pro Cycling], the recent Criterium du Dauphiné champion, while Richie Porte [Trek-Segafredo] and Adam Yates [Mitchelton-Scott], who finished third and ninth respectively at this Tour, are inbound. Connor Swift [Arkea Samsic] could also be an option, the Telegraph understands.

Well, Ackermann translates to "Fieldman", so I guess... basically a farmer, which isn't exactly unthinkable that Pascal has farmers in his ancestry (don't most of us?)
Though the probability of Wilco having some ancerstor who just sat in the basement are probably... hopefully... rather slim?
And I have no idea about Maximillian's chess-playing ancestry.

More like the second. Definitely no clans involved. But it can also mean someone from a certain area. Schwarzmann could be someone who had black hair or also a chimney sweeper. Basically it can mean anything, we just do not have clans.
In case of Ackermann it's simply a farmer.
Kelderman(n) is a great addition, and I finally know why Lopez is called Superman(n). Destiny. I don't know what they want with Politt.

(For clans and ancestry we have those names ending on -sen -son as well. Also Peters for instance, son of Peter of course.)
