I don't think he replaces any of them. Both of them are climbers, Covi is more of a "passista veloce", good in shorter hills and mid mountain races with a nice sprint.

His profile is comparable to De Pretto and Engelhart, so either an improvement compared to the German or a direct replacement for his fellow countryman.

Or his retiring countryman in De Marchi.

Pretty happy with his signing. Helps round out or classics team well.

Question for the mods.
If a bald rider changed to Alpecin, and suddenly grew long, lustrous locks, would we be allowed to discuss those matters here... or would that have to take place down in the clinic?

Foldager and Juul-Jensen rumoured to have extended with Jayco.
Reedtz tried to trick Juul-Jensen into confirming whether that's true (like he'd in 'AftenTour' a few years ago), he didn't fall for it.

Felline un-retires himself and signs for MBH Bank Ballan. There has been talk the past year or two of them moving up to Pro level. Maybe this is a sign that it's finally going to happen.

The article also talks about Masnada and Verre in passing (two other ex-Colpack riders). No direct mention of transfers for them, but the team has "contacts with some riders, but we are waiting to see what the WorldTours do and then we will start to make our own steps".
