Page 508 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
latest rider rumoured to join them is Mark Stewart. Before, there was talk about guys like Pickrell as sprint leader, Stefan de Bod, Larry Warabasse, George Jackson etc. + like 10 young Americans. So yeah, more or less as you say.
Warbasse has extended with Tudor so that frees up a spot.
Owen Cole was also rumoured to be amongst the signings iirc.
Benson published an article about it a month ago or so

But among the names listed so far, I don't think there was a single rider not from an English speaking country, so the team probably is still not a realistic option for most.

CQ in their team transfer section actually has them signing a Colombian - Samuel Florez.

Not sure where they've gotten their info from, but probably Benson's latest update. They have no Stites, Plowright, Cole or Jackson.

Some merger news from Belgian press, Hugo Page joins Cofidis, Alexys Faure Prost goes to Picnic and Francesco Busatto to Alpecin. Milan Donie will stay on devo level one year longer than initially planed.

As mentioned before, Reuben Thompson, Lorenz Van De Wynkele and Baptiste Veistroffer (all Lotto) won't be part of the new team, but still must be paid by them. Kamiel Bonneu, Dries De Pooter, Dion Smith and Alexander Kamp (all Wanty) won't have their contract honored either.

This leaves the new team with now 31 riders, so at least one more needs to go. Thijssen may move to Alpecin, but also Girmay, de Schuyteneer and van Eetvelt are still unsure to stay.

If Girmay leaves to Factor-Premier Tech he would possibly take Roel Van Sintmartensdijk with him, so that would move the team down to 29 and maybe possibly save one of the Lotto or Wanty riders.

that team folds within 2-4 years!

That's pretty optimistic.

I have said it before, them trying to keep Girmay is ruining a lot. Completely neglecting other talented riders while you're begging Girmay to stay when you don't even need him, you have De Lie anyways.

This merged team will be horrible. A team (probably) majority owned by the Lottery led by a *** that has no idea how to run a cycling team, a CEO that only seems to care about Girmay and that put his previous team into debt and deep financial trouble, a budget that isn't even mediocre and in a year probably no real talent left.

That's what Jeannie Haek decided to kill 30 years of Lotto heritage for, well he probably let himself get played by Bourlart and others, thinking Lotto would be part of some sort of big team. Naive and dumb as always.

I keep wondering why you always spell his name like that. Is it just a typo or is it to mock him as if he were a woman or something?
