Quick Question: so the Mexican NC that are coming up are technically part of the 2026 UCI season and so the points count for that year.
Will they count towards Petrolike's tally or Burgos?
I guess (but only a guess, I haven't researched anything) it is like a mid-season transfer: it is acknowledged that riders sometimes move within the season, so points before the transfer go to the pre-transfer team.

Why the UCI think it's beneficial to declare the end of the year to be at a time other than when the calendar and, more importantly, rider contracts consider the year to end is anyone's guess.

And strictly speaking, the races in Europe last Sunday were after the last WorldTour race of the year, so should they have been regarded as 2026 season events?

Is this one of those situations where it's only the UCI who considers some random date in the middle of October to be the end of the year, whereas anyone who's actually in possession of a calendar, and knows how those things works, know that it's still 2025, and whoever win the various races at the Mexican National Championships will be 2025 National Champions?

Surely you mean Christophe Rinero.

I had forgotten about Skil. On paper they were rather weak, but as you mention they did a decent 2009 Tour. Skil Shimano even got 3rd in a stage if I recall correctly. They also managed to put half of the team in the first echelon in the La Grand Motte stage which was amazing.
Gosh, of course I meant Rinero! 🤣
Total brain error!

So Filippo Agostinacchio will ride CX for EF, but I don't know what that means for his road career. On a similar note, UAE have signed up Jaime Torres for the Gen Z team.

If he's going to focus on CX, why would they sign him to the WT Team?
Riding CX for EF could just mean that he's still going to be riding CX, and riding as an EF rider just makes sense.

At this moment he, unlike his younger brother, doesn't have an official road contract for next year.

Matthias Schwarzbacher will not be part of the GenZ team for next year so he's either gonna be promoted or already has a contract with another WT team.

a couple of months ago, Benson said that EF was most likely, which would also explain why there's no announcement yet.

I think he'll be promoted to the first team, but it's strange that they haven't said anything like they did with Pericas.

in an interview with ATT boss Radim Kijevsky, he confirmed that Marcin Budziński will join MBH Bank Ballan for 2026. Three other riders had pro-level offers as well, but decided to stay.

About their own roster, he only says that it's almost complete, with one spot left to fill. They had 50 riders applying, but no names are brought up. The program will be more or less like this year (Europe only), with the goal to defend their status as best conti team. Contrary to 2025, two .Pro races (Slovenia and Czech Tour) are already confirmed.
