Polti VisitMalta playing "Gotta catch sign them all" with the Maltese riders.

Probably the best Maltese rider out there, and I mean no offense to Buttigieg but Mifsud can atleast hold his own in the French cup races

Edit: If you want a laugh, look up how the Maltese National Championships is set up.

I'm just looking at Buttigieg's results page on PCS. My plan was to find the national championships through there, and thus found out how many - or rather few - rode.
And... errr... I'm confused. How many national championships do they need? What?

In May and June, three separate road races were held. The rider with the smallest combined time in those three races was crowned national champion.

And then they have the ITT Championship and another ITT Championship over coastal roads.

What is so strange about that?

I guess the road racing thing kinda makes sense... showing someone who's been consistently good over a longer period of time, rather than just good - with maybe some luck thrown in - in a single day.
The "ITT over costal roads" that's... oddly specific.

Everything, considering the traditional approach in cycling to national / continental / world championships: one day races for road and ITT and no separation between flat and mountain ITT (though I admit i've seen a few other countries that separate regular ITT and mountain climb ITT)

Gerben Thijssen might go to Alpecin

also Senechal, according to that article, who could still be a decent domestique. Makes sense to get him on board.

He had a horrible season, but I think that's too harsh
yeah, a bit to harsh probably. Let's up that by one level.

But last winter he said that he lost weight to be more versatile, and to be honest, the only result that I saw was that he completely lost his sprint. No idea if he can still turn this around or not.
