Former Zwift finalist and 5th at the Italian National Championship, Mattia Gaffuri joins Picnic

That's 26 riders, Timo De Jong will make 27. One spot left if they go with the 28 rider spots they used for 2025.

They've not lost lots of talent (Vermaerke was underused this year and Lund is a loss), but budgetary issues must be a concern given the randomness of what they've brought in. Two older trainees in Corkery and De Jong (both look like strong riders though), Gaffuri from club level, Haquin has only raced one pro season, Knox will be there to help Onley/Poole and Peace has a lot of talent but it still very young and raw.

That or they're loading up big $ extensions for the likes of Van Uden, Onley, Bittner and Poole to keep them long-term.

nice to see Mark Stewart there!
and Leo Hayter obvs
also good to see this Wright brother to get a chance on pro level.

All in all, it has more of a conti vibe, though. Especially with this jersey design

Factor/Black-Ink, Ekoi. well, if IPT folds, those 2 partners keep going. also, IPT was rumored to have Sram in 2026.

Can anyone explain to me what a Drali Milano is and why they suddenly feel the urge to save a Norwegian team rather than an Italian one?

Drali (basically the name) was acquired by three entrepreneurs a few years ago and is now a company that sells frames, obviously made by third parties.

Before, Drali was just a small shop.

ps: I'm Italian and I never heard of Drali

It still doesn't explain why they feel a Norwegian team is the right investment for them. They're also sponsoring the Rime Drali which used to be at CT level. We'll see if it means that Repsol will also sign the odd Italian riders in the future. Masnada will possibly be on the market again next year.
