how the point system works or anything, but looking forward to the new groups.
after that I will be heading out to Tenerife to prepare for the giro
That´s good. All that matters is the rank anyway.

Take care, there will be no testing in Tenerife...
OK, as example for everybody:
You scored
18 points in the TdF (3 correct predicted stage winners = 3 points; 12 of your predicted T-20 riders indeed finished the TdF inside the T-20-CG = 12 points; 3 of those 12 riders finished the TdF exactly in the CG-position you predicted them upfront = 3 points).
Of those 18 points, 25% are kept for the next round(s). That means you started the Vuelta with 4.5 points ("inherited points").
In the
Vuelta you scored 23.5 more points* = (23.5 + 4.5 "inherited points" from the TdF) 28 total points in the final Vuelta standings.
(* 6 correct predicted stage winners = 6 points; 1 of your predicted stage winners at least finished T-3 in the given stage, even though he didn´t win it = 0.5 points; 14 of your predicted T-20 riders indeed finished the Vuelta inside the T-20-CG = 14 points; 3 of those 14 riders finished the Vuelta exactly in the CG-position you predicted them upfront = 3 points)
Of the scored 23.5 points you also keep 25% for future rounds (= 6.0 more "inherited points").
Thus you start the Giro-2015 with 10.5 "inherited points" (4.5 from the TdF + 6.0 from the Vuelta).
Or you calculate like this (like I do in all the standings):
18 TdF points + 23.5 (net) points from the Vuelta = 41.5 (net) points scored so far. Now you take
25% of those 41.5 points to the Giro (= 10.375 "inherited points" = rounded 10.5 "inherited points").
I hope that helped everybody who still was not sure.
If more questions remain, just ask.
