Can't fall asleep at the wheel. You still need to drive that thing, switch to reserve battery pack when main battery is dead, or engage front hub motor when rear hub motor alone doesn't do enough damage to competitors.
In other words, all sorts of multitasking required.
Procycling more and more turning into a skill sport.

what ze heck, I'll jump in here, I'm not an engineer so I don't know what kind of torque an internal hub motor could generate, but there is a reason that rear wheels are crossed spoke lacing patterns, while front wheels are radial, the radial spoke is the shortest possible and therefore lightest possible spokes, but it can only be used for front wheels because no torque is generated at the hub. I imagine any disc front wheel would be laced in a crossed pattern, and therefore more plausible for a hidden motor, but on a radially laced wheel it would be at your own peril and so on and so forth. Or maybe they don't generate enough torque for that to be an issue... I'll defer to Mr Swanson.

Have we sunk THIS low? THIS low?

What is low about that tweet?
"Mikel Landa starts Vuelta a Burgos today. The only Team Sky rider there who rode the Tour" is quite silly as an argument for anything. The same holds for Trentin and Sicard. Quintana in 2013, Sanchez in 2010, Soler in 2007 all won Burgos after a very strong Tour. Riders have always cashed in on their post-Tour form during August. Landa's number of race days is nothing special, especially if this is the end of his season.

How about you quote it correctly "Mikel Landa starts Vuelta a Burgos today. The only Team Sky rider there who rode the Tour, The only rider there who rode the Giro & Tour" None of the riders who mentioned had ridden the Giro followed by the Tour and anyway I'm still failing to see why this tweet is seen as some type of new low
Thanks Stryderhells and well said.
It was a tweet providing context relevant to the discussion.
Not sure why, on a discussion forum, that could ever be a bad, or a "low", thing.

No G, Kwia pooped? Poels not 100%? Landa to ride for Dawg in week 3? Yeah, sounds possible.

Just put Landa on the front for the entire race, whack him on autopilot hardcoded to 440w.

I think it will be fun waiting for Landa to attack Froome.

It could happen quite early, stage 3 to Andorra although my money is on the TTT in stage 1.
