LOL. You get that from reading a post? You don't even know her. I agree as I stated upthread it's odd she is so difficult to rile up and her apologies toward RR should have some emoticons if she is not serious.

Don't know WTH you are talking about in the last paragraph. Is this some type of code talk?

No ChrisE, I deduce it from reading all LauraLyns posts, of which there has been a recent deluge. As you picked up yourself after a single post, which you describe as "odd"

One little trick is to derail or dilute by introducing random elements from other threads which were "flavours of the day" such as Anna Zimmerman which is plain and simple "baiting".

Even this discussion is a win for LauraLyn, because it dilutes this thread. Look all recent Armstrong threads and see what LauraLyn is doing.

My contributions have always been on topic and sincere. I have only deviated from the topic when attacked personally or when someone else was personally attacked. Bully is not something that sits well with me.

Anna Zimmerman is relevant to the discussion here. She has made excellent contributions in her blog. As with Mike Anderson, she knows Lance personally and she brings both creative writing and a deep legal knowledge to the discussion. You may disagree, and that is fine.

Mike, apologies for speaking from the heart. And please do not feel any need to believe me. (You will find me in the comments on your Outside page yesterday.)
I feel no need, but thanks anyway. And I wouldn't read the comments section if you paid me to. From experience I know what the detractors will say, who often appear to be well organized.

No. I don't believe that Webster (or anyone here) intended to insult you. I genuinely do not believe that. I disagreed as well with Webster on some of his responses, but I think he made good contributions, including regarding your excellent discussion in Outside.

[Frankly, I don't think you have to answer to anything here. You have done enough answering, and it has been good. Take care of your family and enjoy your work on bikes. Keep your passion and let the rest of the world deal with Lance.
There is an ominous and somewhat threatening tone to that.

Mike

To clarify, I think you have done a good job setting out your experience and there is no need for you to defend yourself or explain. Certainly not to me.

Surely anything you would wish to further discuss would be of interest.

To whom then?

And again--who would it be of interest to?

A number of the contributors here have posed questions to you.

I must have missed those. Would you care to elucidate the legitimate ones for me please?

Well, I would ask you two questions, if I may.

1. Did you and Lance ever draw up plans on paper for a bike shop? Do you have any recollection of that? And, if so, were those plans submitted to the court during the court case you had with Lance?

2. I could guess, but I would like to hear from you why you wrote the recent article expressing the difficulties you experienced with Lance? What did you expect to accomplish for yourself? What did you expect to accomplish for others? Is this the end of the Lance chapter in you life? Or do you believe there will be an epilogue?

I thought he must have succeeded through his Twitter propositions in meeting her in real life as he craved/lusted.

It's grown old already. Why does every discussion about this have to descend into the quagmire?

Folks, I've said my piece. Some of you have been very supportive, and for that I thank you. My experience has been well documented, and I did not write the article for Outside to have my case re-tried. It's done. However, it still bears mentioning with current events. Oddly enough (and painfully so), there was very little fair coverage eight years ago. If you want more information, go pay a visit to the Travis Co Court House.
There are still lots of people who despite the mounting evidence will think otherwise. I can't help them.

Hey Mike,

Enjoyed reading the Outside article. I have waded through a number of entire threads here recently...and now this one...wow.

You don't know me from Adam, but I would not respond to those "friendly" questions under any circumstances. You probably already get all that, but just a suggestion from a neutral party.

Back on topic. Some fun stuff in that Mike Anderson story

Wonderboy always had a problem with authority
an abandoned car, an IROC-Z28 owned by Armstrong but cosigned for by Hoyt and registered under Hoyt’s name. Armstrong had reportedly ditched the car and the passengers—his friends—while fleeing from the police one night, and he refused to apologize to Hoyt, which damaged their relationship for year

Ahh, the good old days when he was rolling in undeclared cash.

Armstrong would often return from Europe with money stuffed into his pants

cash came from the post-Tour races

All a rider had to do was show up, race for a while, and collect payment, which was made under the table. Russey told me how much it freaked him out to be handed tens of thousands of dollars in bills.

we often paid people with Euro notes worth $500, which Armstrong told me to pull from the pockets of a pink Chanel coat that hung in Kristin’s old closet. He kept the coat crammed with cash from his appearance fees. Whether he declared this as income or not, I don’t know.

I will never get the cultish activities of the mob in here with the pathetic groupthink and attack on those that are not as rabid.
exactly.

your postings are a perfect example of an attempt to revert a defeated doper group think you represented for so long into a rabid attack on those who do not agree.

Wow, you really don't quit. So just who is sincere enough to post on cyclingnews.com?

Please provide a list so we know who is a true and honest Lance-hater and who should be bullied and derided.

Well they also prey on a certain types as well because those who are not susceptible to their charms never fall for it. I'm still surprised no one who didn't fall prey ever mention it in the Pro peloton.

I think people should look up "Borderline" personality, sociopathy is in there... apart of the "BAD" triad of totally foul human beings.

And by the way, being a Sociopath is a spectrum of disease. Those of you clinging to the thought that diagnosing sociopathy is binary should stay out the business of psychiatric diagnoses.

Mike, yes, with respect to the specific questions I posed to you about your recollection of what the bike shop deal with Armstrong were, I should disclose that my questions were more pointed and specific for a reason: I'm a lawyer, .

Have you considered emailing or calling Lance to get his side of the story? As a respectful lawyer I would assume you would perform due diligence and get comprehensive statements from both of them.

Of course you will report back to this thread with Lance's response right?

Thank you in advance.
